By The Spoonful is not your average food store and espresso bar. It is a great little shop loaded with fantastic products, featuring a large selection of regional and gourmet foods. This includes tons of meat and flavored meats like brats, bacon, and salami, plus cheeses, salsa, Iowa craft beer, cider, jams, and other artisan items. They offer fresh made sandwiches for grab and go, paired with freshly brewed coffee and specialty coffee drinks from their espresso bar. The store also has a large variety of homemade meals and place and bake cookie doughs in the freezer. There is no indoor seating, but there are a few tables outside. The staff is super friendly and helpful. It is another awesome woman-owned business in McGregor, perfect to grab a drink and sandwich or items for an event or dinner.

I've stopped in many times to pick up some food items to go and they have all been yummy! Also fun assortment of cheeses, meats, etc. with many local offerings. Every time I've been in town they are open when many other places aren't.

Katie is wonderful. The grazing board was delicious. The desserts were to die for.
