917 W Platt St, Maquoketa“I stopped in to buy a scratch ticket and a quick bite to eat and got a BBQ boneless chicken and the food was time stamped as (3:40) it simply means buy it before 3:40 pm and toss it if not sold by that time frame. I even grabbed the furthest one in the back because I was aware of the step process because I've worked with Kwik Star before in Dubuque Iowa branch. And the food was purchased well within the given time frame, (it was 3:01 pm time on my receipt) and it was very hard and not chewable. Looks so good, doesn't it? In this case, looks can sometime be deceiving. Well I got food there before but it was not this bad. Today, I was a little bit disappointed about the service/food. This was how I knew I was not being helped by the cashier to the fullest; For example with cashiers' responses with; yeah uh huh yeah uh huh! And I asked the cashier; if I can attach my rewards to my purchase and cashier replied "yeah uh huh yeah uh huh again and by that time my pin# and payment already gone through and done and I was thinking like I'm out of here". I've also tried the car wash in the past too and I'm not a fan. I bought the most expensive package and when done I still had soap residue on my car after the final drying step. I'd rather use the other car wash in town. It seems like strike 3; service/food/car wash, right? Well I wouldn't count the service against them this time since I've always had good service when I went there in the past. One rotten egg should be removed though before the rest gets rotten as well. 1st time review for this store as part of a Yelp elite squad! Thank you!!”
“Great food, my fiance will go there super late for a late night chicken fix often. The reason for the 4 instead of 5 is the restroom, I had to use it once and will never again. Fair prices and competes well with both Kwik Star and Casey's.”
“Got fried pork loin sandwiches with everything and they were great as always. I tried the new Mac n cheese with bacon. It was yummy but the portion was very small and not worth the $3.99 price tag.”
“Came through Maquoketa 6/6/22 and stopped for gas. At the time E Platt St./64 was being tore up (road work). Despite the roadwork and mess it entails, the store was kept clean, especially the floor. The pics I have added of the Men's restroom are reality for a Casey's store with the traffic and business that they receive daily, which I am not going to "knock" them for it.”
