“I always shop at Smithland County Store when in town. I’ve only been to Smithland once so that’s 100% true. Though I didn’t buy anything. I used the bathroom. Maybe “stop” is a better word than “shop”. Nice, clean and somewhat cozy convenient store in the middle of The Loess Hills. Make it a stop & shop on your next outing. “Some of the staff are fun, friendly and helpful. For example, the store manager went out of the way to help me when I had just moved into the area. You won't find that kind of service in most convenient stores. The food is good; especially the pizza. This is the best Casey store I've visited while in Iowa.”
