They gave me very dirty truck and cigarettes smoked truck to me I'm non smoker . Long history company but not growing numbers of drivers well you can think
They charged all the hiring cost if you quit early it's bond
They have long term trucking business why drivers numbers stalled nor growing too much.
Becareful to choose your job for your license
Also don't be cheated by review in my opinion as you know it might be office staffs or not real
For me I strongly not recommend in my personal experience. But decision is up to you as you know.
Be safe bro

I worked for this company in total 6.5 years! Best OTR company I've driven for, hands down! I only left because I wanted to be home with my little ones or I would have stayed. The office personnel, dispatchers, safety, mechanics and shop personnel are amazing and listen to concerns. Only company I've ever been at that you can walk into the owners office (Steve) knock on the door and have a seat! Same with the vp (Jeff), walk in have a seat and a conversation. I absolutely love everyone there! I stay in touch with some of them still to this day because they are an amazing group of people. Some of these stories on here are unbelievable. Respect is earned not given. If you show respect it will be returned 10 fold! They set up the rules and let you know everything up front from bonus pays to maintenance issues, home time requirements and that is the best! Communication is key in any business especially in trucking with the proper communication makes a successful career. They still have one of the best top out pay schedules with experience, new equipment and will do their best to keep you happy, healthy and safe! If you are open minded willing to keep your butt in the seat and get those miles, they give them to you. They are a majority reefer company but do haul some dry vans. I'd recommend them over any other company.

I'm new to the company (3 months) and I already feel like family it doesn't feel like I'm working for a company it's a family/team love that they have so you actually don't feel like a employee anytime you can meet the CEO/COO in person, sit down have a coffee/tea that means something and tells a lot of the company you work for if your there to work they sure do have work for you of course anything has its time for bumps and bruises but positive communication is the key you will be surprise how far that goes..... that being said if your looking to be apart of a family orientated trucking company I highly recommend Schuster CO (and let them know (Charles "Good Looking" Smith) send you!!

I started here in July 2023. The culture here is amazing. This is a company that lets the drivers drive (no micro management). Success or failure is 100% up to the driver.
Communication (and honesty) are the key to making this work.
My miles average 2100-3000 per week. For 11 months, I have averaged 2464 miles per week. That number includes hometime (I go home every 6-8 weeks).
The only reason I would leave the company is to purchase my own truck. Even then, I have spoke to three of the owner operators here and they seem to be making a great living.
Thank you SCHUSTER!

I personally had a very positive experience working for this company. I drove for them for about 15 months. The only reason I left was because I wanted to pursue flatbed.
Truck driving is inherently frustrating at times and my dispatcher Colton was always able to make a bad situation better.
Their safety department is ran well and luckily is staffed with folks that are good “people persons.”
The shop is pretty cool and they do their best to get you in and out as needed.
The planners take all of your preferences into consideration and work with you on getting home or wherever you need to be.
The recruiting and orientation process is all pretty smooth and streamline.
The miles and pay are good too, so if I ever decide to go back to pulling a reefer I’ll definitely head back over to Schuster.

I don't know about other dispatchers. However, Jason AND Lacy. I know! If you have good mental health and do not like engaging in toxic discussions. Stay away from them. IF ONE OF THEM IS YOUR DISPATCHER. DO NOT ASK ANY HELP. They do everything to confuse truck drivers. They send a load, and when you get out of the truck, they take that load off, and they send you 3 other different loads without any warning. Then they yell at you saying you got the wrong load. The path is wrong... They can also send you to SWAP in the middle of nowhere with reference between 164/165. No interstate reference or clue as the direction to follow. You will have to lose your patience with dispatcher, which doesn't allow you to come back to the terminal to fix the truck. You will have to say that you want to quit that job - I did it. So, you will certainly hear or read that if you wish, you can come back to the terminal. You can drop the trailer -loaed- wherever you are and come to the terminal. If you are unlucky like me, or if it's just a game for them, you also may be able to get a truck that previously had a major accident. Where the truck was 5" crooked out of alignment, with the battery compartment broken, leaving the truck out of control looking like an untamed horse. Of course, disconnecting and sliding the tandems will be a sacrifice. Also, I mustn't forget about the air hose for the chambers, broken, coolant liquid leaking into the oil tank. Anyway, my experience for 1 month in that job was a nightmare. Even who looks friendly, I have my doubts, Darren from safety, and the owner, Jeff.
In my opinion, they stay in the office playing with the lives of the truck drivers, and waiting for the accident happens to get the insurance policy . Even if the truck looks new with low mileag. it's still a junk. I don't know where they get so many junk trucks. You will see if you give them a chance. I trusted in good reviews here. I think they are from the office players.

I'm reporting a Schuster Truck Kenworth T680 That was traveling same direction as me outside of I70 East Oak Grove MO 04/18/2024 I am hauling 2 20 foot UN-2908 Government containers empty. As we were getting closer to the weigh station the driver of Truck #34066 Trailer#4452 Passed me with no issues but got Infront of me at the last mile Behind another driver Infront of me before the weigh station and brake checked me for no reason, I went around him into the left lane to pass him then he swerves into my lane trying to hit me or take me out for no reason. He didn't get the bypass and had to pull into the weigh station. I pulled alongside him and pointed at my camera while he was flipping me off. (NO One was behind me at all before the weigh station) I got the bypass light since our ratings are good. I Had no prior interaction with this Truck or driver before this incident occurred it's all saved in Garmin Dash Cam Video and Upscaled to 4k resolution. I Drive for AJ Metler Hauling and Rigging we haul specialized government loads in Dry Vans and Flatbeds.
