There should be a sign posted on their front door that says "No kids aloud". Store owner is a grumpy woman and my kids were behaving themselves.

We were just shopping here for Christmas gifts to support small local businesses. Upon entering, owner was there. She did not greet us nor ask us if we needed help. Instead, she followed us around the store after us being there less than 5 minutes and proceeded to rudely say "please stop touching everything because I am a germaphobe". This is a gift shop without any organization of items nor common gifts. Having this kind of store and then rudely telling shoppers to not touch anything due to her being a germaphobe, is actually insane. We left immediately and will not be returning. We have lived in LeClaire our entire lives and it's extremely unfortunate that one of our few gift shops is owned and operated by such an abrasive, rude individual. Spend your money at Aunt Hattie's and one of the many other friendly gift shops.

Very cool place and some amazing gifts and little things here. They have a shop cat here too guards the place. Very helpful staff, they even have gumballs for a penny here. Prices here are fair but there's a bit of everything here.

I agree with comments about lack of customer service. I was THE only person in the store and stopped at the front counter to look at a product and was about 2 feet from the lady behind the counter. She didn't look up, didn't acknowledge me in any way and turned her back and walked away. I had planned to purchase several items but walked out empty handed. Reviews for the past years reference poor service. You'd think the owner would remedy that by now ... Unless the rude person IS the owner? Who knows. I won't return to that store ever again.

Watch out for the unfriendly cat! Friendly greeting from employee. Upon entering I was enthralled with the funny and eclectic items...Fun Place. Hubby came in looking for me. Saw long-haired black and white on its perch near the back of the the store and started to approach, speaking quietly to it...he's a pet lover. Cat rolled over looking for a belly rub? Hubs put his hand out. Cat reached out and clawed his hand, drawing blood. No warning signs anywhere of a(n unfriendly) cat on premises anywhere. Employee got a wet towel and a bandaid. Apparent shop owner was always busy on her phone the whole time we were there. Only customers. Barely acknowledged what happened. Made my purchase and we couldn't get out of there fast enough.

Store owners were very rude and complained about my family trying on things. My aunt was visiting the country and we were just having fun and they were being pushy about buying the items. I would have bought something if we weren'ttreated that way.

Fun eclectic store with lots of trinkets and treasures from marketing & sales history. Zotz candy and more; signs, sayings, trinkets and 1950's and 60's memorabilia.

THEY HAVE A KITTY CAT YOU CAN PET!! But also, the shop is adorable and well stocked with a variety of items. The owners are lovely and and have a wonderful sense of humor in their gifts. We found so many souvenirs for loved ones and ourselves there. And of course, I got to pet the floof!

Neat store. Had my purchases but the computer wasn't working (or they didn't know what they were doing) the woman who was very aggressive almost pulled my card out of my hand. I then put my merchandise down and so did my daughter. They lost out on a 150.00 sale. Be kind people, we were.

Bitter, unfriendly, prune-souled treatment from owner as I tried, very cheerfully, to make sense of the disorder, gaps, and more missing envelopes than present ones in the card selection. Employee tried to mediate a little, but then she knows where her bread comes from and ultimately came down on the side of the owner. So much for friendly local shops. Next time I walk in and nobody says hello, even, I'll take a hint and take my money elsewhere. I take that back. Even prunes are too tasty for her. 100% black currant juice concentrate is more like it.

My wife and I are locals and used to shop there a lot. The last time my wife was there was with her daughter whom was about 7 months pregnant at the time. She needed to use the restroom and the owner refused. I will NEVER spend another penny at this place. RUDE

if anyone is looking for winter weight leggings they have the best ones! So comfy! This is a fun store with alot of great things!! Friendly staff willing to help you.
