My daughter, 18-year-old granddaughter, and I were spending the day in LeClaire, Iowa. When we were ready for lunch, we stumbled upon this lovely restaurant. The food, the atmosphere, and the service were all top-notch. Everything is seasonal and fresh. I highly recommend the Crane and the Pelican.

I came here at the recommendation of the staff at my hotel. It is located in a Victorian-style home. I had the brisket with mashed potatoes and bread. The meat was exceptional. The service was prompt and friendly. The cocktail was a bit pricey and was good (and strong) but not excellent. I’d return.

Food was unusual and very good. Loved the pickle soup and cold broccoli slaw. The chicken salad sandwich was delicious and had a bit of a smokey flavor. Try the basil flavored ice cream. You won't be disappointed!

Cute old farmhouse right on the river. Atmosphere is awesome. Service was excellent. Autumn was our server, if you’re able to get him you’re lucky. Everything was fantastic! We started off with the lobster corn chowder - fantastic We shared the pecan crusted salmon delicious! The salmon
came with one of the best risottos we have ever had. Ended the evening with the orange crêpes for dessert - they were wonderful too. Le Claire is a really cute little town, if we make it back there again we will definitely go back to the Crane and Pelicans. Thank you for the wonderful experience!

We chose Crane and Pelican for our wedding reception and there isn’t one thing I would change. Mandy and her crew did an amazing job! Everyone raved how much they loved their meal. It’s hard to keep chicken breast moist and tender and even the leftovers were good! Of all the things you need to worry about for your wedding, if you chose Crane and Pelican for catering that worry can be forgotten because they are dependable, reasonable, and their food is amazing!

We loved our lunch at Crane & Pelican. The cocktails were fresh and very nicely made. Lunch was just terrific; we had the Brisket and Rueben / Soup special. The brisket was very tender, and the gravy was just delicious. A huge portion, I took 1/2 of it home. We were very full but couldn't resist their Banana Bread Ice Cream. Oh my goodness - it was the best ice cream I think I've ever had. This is a place we will go back to again, next time we are in the area.

We really enjoyed our lunch at Crane & Pelican. It was a 5 star experience with the exception of the portion sizing which was puzzling. We paid 24.95 for a full portion of the delicious salmon supper and the same price for a baby sized lunch portion of cajun chicken and pasta. It literally looked like a quarter of a chicken breast sliced on top of a half cup of perfectly cooked rigatoni. My husband said it was delicious but just looking at the portion size we had to laugh, however, $25.00 was an unfair price to pay considering the salmon was a decent portion for the same price. Something doesn’t add up.

Welcome to the river boat captain's house. The service was impeccable, and the views and atmosphere were amazing. The food was very well prepared but somewhat limited, which is good for someone who has a hard time deciding. Highly recommend for a romantic lunch or dinner.

Sunday brunch was good. Could of used a protein of some sort. Wife's mimosa was way overpriced. Building was awesome.

My family used Crane & Pelican for catering for a celebration of life for my mom. Not only was Mandy empathetic, kind, and helpful, but also the food was absolutely delicious. We are so glad we used them for such an important event and would recommend them to anyone! Thank you!
