This place has an amazing collection of gorgeous yarns from Mike and Julie's award winning alpacas in a beautiful setting.
Julie also carries a large selection of alpaca socks (and hats) that are the warmest and softest ever. Once you've tried them, you won't want to be without.
And if you're not a yarn lover, the shop is full of great clothing, jewelry and accessories.
Lots of opportunities to see the cute alpacas as well.

We loved this stop! Not only could you see the alpacas and pet them, but there was a great alpaca-themed store + boutique in a beautifully restored 3 story barn.The entire property is whimsical! We will certainly be back. Definitely recommend adding this to your route!

My family and I went here for my grandma’s birthday, and we will definitely be returning! Multiple stores, several barns to see the alpacas, and an overall family friendly experience. The cute farm dog was a plus!

An absolutely beautiful place to visit. I walked around with a friend and seeing the baby alpacas up in the barn was the highlight. I also knit and crochet and they have an excellent selection of Alpaca yarn.

We stayed here through Harvest Hosts and it was awesome! Julie and Mike were in and out, and that was ok. We walked around the farm, looked at all the alpacas, and just enjoyed the scenery. It's a beautiful spot and for a working farm, it's amazing! The shop is full of different alpaca items and well worth the stop! We'll need to find a reason to come down again for sure!

The Anna Martinez bad review was so unnecessary and unjust to this beautiful Irish Meadows Apaca farm owners.To say this family is prejudice is a untrue statement.The owners Mike and Julie welcome all race and color! One of the best families that make this neighborhood a great place to live.Two open Houses a year, A fall open house the last week of Sept, Music and food vendors ,a Christmas Open House mid Nov in addition to the Iowa Barn Tour and being part of Harvest Host. Take a drive to see the beautiful landscapes,You won’t be disappointed!

Beautifully maintained alpaca farm in a lovely valley and ridge. Quintessential eastern Iowa! The Yarn Barn has a great selection of goods. Our toddlers enjoyed observing the animals, but we appreciated that it wasn’t a kid-focused excursion! Will be returning!

We attended an event here and our family really enjoyed it. A lot of space so it didn't feel overcrowded and considering it was on a farm it was clean. The kids LOVED seeing all the adorable alpaca!
