Bought a car here two years ago. The guy who sold it to us seemed so genuine and trustworthy. Right when we drove it off the lot we had transmission problems. I soon figured out we needed a whole new transmission. I called and asked if there was anything they could do to help since we just bought the car less than a couple days ago and unfortunately they could offer no help. We have had problem after problem with this car and now have to pay off a car loan for a car that doesn’t run at all.

I took my 2015 F150 into Stephen’s Automotive for a transmission fluid flush and they did a fantastic job. The transmission shudder that my truck was experiencing was eliminated.
Other things to note:
- Someone always answered the phone when I called.
- Jeff is extremely polite and friendly during any conversation.
- The repair tech noticed my oil change was past due and Jeff called me to let me know.
- Turn around was timely.
- Price was competitive.
In summary, I HIGHLY recommend Stephen’s Automotive Service.

My vehicle wouldn't start while I was visiting family in Des Moines. I was looking for a service shop that could at least look at my vehicle the same day and diagnose it. I called Stephens Automotive Service. Jeff was very professional, lined up a tow truck for me and told me they could diagnose my car that same day. Within a four hour timeframe, the tow truck had picked it up, Stephens Automotive Service had it fixed and I was back on the road. Thank you Jeff!

Called and made an appointment for oil change special advertised at $39. Gave them the make and year of truck, no problems. Show up to find the price will be $99 for my truck. Absolutely no mention of that on the phone, total bait and switch. Did NOT get oil change here and will NOT use them, ever.

Stephen's Automotive did amazing with my car.it needed all 4 new leaf springs and they had it fixed the SAME day I brought it in! Everyone was also extremely kind and considerate. I will definitely be using them again.

They took the time to explain exactly what the issue with my car was and my various options, along with the cost of those options. They were also honest in giving their opinion that they did not think the amount of money I needed to put into repairs would be a good investment and were incredibly kind and flexible as I took time to figure out what to do next. I've never felt like they're trying to upsell me on anything or trying to sell me on services I don't actually need. I fully trust their opinions.

I got my 100,000 mile check on my car which went very smoothly. Stephen was incredibly kind and respectful. If I had any questions, he answered them and explained the cost of labor and parts. It’s nice to support a small business instead of the big dealerships when it comes to inspections. I really recommend!

I’ve taken my vehicle to Stephens Auto a few times now for work (big items to small things). Each experience has been incredibly easy and painless and Jeff and his team give you the facts of things (and pricing) without a hard sales pitch that I’ve experienced at most other places. In fact, my last bill was close to $100 less than he quoted me over the phone which may be the first time I paid less for repairs than I was quoted.
