My dad and I started our road trip from Michigan to Colorado on Christmas day, stopping in Johnston, IA. We were starving when we arrived and no restaurants were open so we decided to stop at the Kum & Go for dinner. We were exhausted, hungry, and honestly a bit grouchy from the long drive. We were happy to find fresh pizza we could take back to our hotel room. However, what really impressed us was the professional, kind, and welcoming service we received from Arvin. He was truly happy to see us and clearly cared about providing top notch service. We had stopped at numerous gas stations throughout the day and almost every person we encountered was unhappy to be working on Christmas day...but not Arvin. The Johnston, IA Kum & Go location is clean and has fantastic food, but most importantly they have fantastic employees like Arvin.

They have a lot of food items here if your on the go. Clean on the inside, although the door can be a bit annoying and I couldn't find the washroom at first I would say its a decent gas station

Friendly staff and good selection of items. Not such a great location, it's hard to access from the main road if you come from the opposite direction. There's technically no turn into their lot and then you have to wait a while in rush hour.

Pretty friendly staff, though a few people aren't the most chipper. Bathrooms are so-so. Other than that, great establishment.

Nice clean store. Was in uniform and got drink discount. Basically 50% off on the drink. Dont know if i have to be in uniform for the discount.

Sometime during mid-2014 the management staff was switched out and the place got noticeably better. Employees were nicer and more on top of things. Bathroom is always clean. Only complaint, it's loud. The really high ceilings seem to amplify the noise of the soda and other drink machines so there's a dull roar in the place at all times.
