They follow the letter of the law, rather than the spirit, to trap you into paying PMI as long as they can. No matter your loan-to-value they will not remove PMI unless you pay them for a BPO appraisal on top of it (BPO that they hire). Completely ridiculous, and it goes against the spirit of the Homeowners Protection Act completely. Take your business elsewhere.

Horrible customer service. And now for the 3rd month in a row I have to reset my password or reguster my acct all over and this time its asking for my social on some random linked to website. No thanks. You will not be receiving payments from me if this is not resolved.

Never had any issues with Iowa Bankers Mortgage. Any time I call they always guided me I the correct way.

Can't pay partial payments outside of biweekly and then they charge a ridiculous fee in order to do this. ACH payments cost a fraction of a penny. Why are you charging me two dollars per transfer?

If I could give 0 stars I would! Worst mortgage company I have ever dealt with! One customer service rep will tell you one thing and then the next will change their "policy" when you follow up. Had to send a follow-up email a month after loan payoff to get documents they were required to mail. They charge extra for the "convenience" of paying twice monthly or by auto pay. They do anything possible to squeeze every dime they can from customers and even tried to deny our written request to cancel PMI although we met all obligations under the Homeowners Protection Act of 1998 (also known as the PMI Cancellation Act).

Horrendous service. The made a typographical error when entering my interest rate. Months later, I am still receiving incorrect statements. When I’ve attempted to pay those statements, they have held the checks because they are under the correct payment amount.After nearly an hour on the phone, I was told I could complete the payment online. However, their website constantly crashes and does not accept partial payments. I have never had issues like this before when attempting to give someone my money.

This bank keeps making changes to their website, and it has only gotten worse. Today I noticed that my payment has been due in the first of the month and auto draft isn’t made until the fifth- according to them this isn’t late and they didn’t even offer to help change it. Very frustrating website as others have mentioned.

Sent out our SECOND mortgage payment with them and it’s “lost in the mail” for 5 weeks now. Absolutely zero help. And only advice is to pay it online but they’ll still cash the first check. Seems to follow what other reviews say. Never had issues with our previous mortgage companies over the course of 9 years, only two months in with this one and a complete headache.

What an absolute joke of a company. I’ve had them 5 months and have been locked out of my account every single month because they keep “updating” their login system. I assume this is how they make their money is by making you fight to pay your own mortgage by forcing you to be late trying to access your account. You’d have better luck trying to successfully swallow a running chainsaw than deal with them. Avoid at all costs.

Great company to work with. I've had 2 mortgages through IBMC and have never ran into any issues. When I have called with a question they have been kind and responsive. I highly recommend them.
