Worst haircut experience of my life. Recently moved here and needed a place to get a haircut so figured ole reliable Great Clips. in April a woman who cut my hair did a good job and was very nice the whole time. Decided to try again today in june because of her and will never be returning. A man cut my hair who didn't say his name, nor was it shown anywhere (looking at other reviews i'm guessing his name is mark) and let me say he sucked! Was questioning everything i said i wanted done and in the end he did not do a single thing i asked of him, treated me like a child, and left me with the worst haircut ive gotten in the 6 years ive gotten my hair done this exact way. Its the worst fade i have ever seen and I'm 60% there to trying to fix it myself because im convinced i could make it look not like a straight line across my head. Also waited 40 minutes longer then my check in said it would take but you guys know that judging on the other reviews about it. Thanks for the L. See you at a barber shop.

All she wanted was less length, and blending of her grown out bangs into some face framing/layering to lighten up her thick hair. Dad took her to great clips. SMH. They couldn't even get the length even! Her hair is a mess, one side almost the right length with some layering, the other side looks like they forgot to even cut it. Slightly shorter, completely uneven, none of the layers the other side has. An 8-year-old can tel let hair looks bad...how could the stylist not see? Too busy trying to cram in as many alleged "haircuts" as possible without actually doing anything. Precisely why we never usually go here

9/29/2023.I will have to say todays visit to the Johnston Station Great clips is probably one of my worst experiences with a business ever. If I could give 0 Starts I would as that is what this location deserves. I tried to get a hair cut during a break at work. I used the app to check in I waited until it said 1 min and you are up and then I drove the 2 min to the location. Once there even though the app said i was up, There was a gentleman in front of me in line and 2 people in the chairs getting hair cuts. After sitting in the store for 45 min and still waiting for the guy ahead of me to even go and now 4 or 5 additional people have entered the store because the app told them it was time . The manager decided even though we had been waiting for 45 min she would let her employees go to lunch. This left just her in the store. After waiting an additional 20 min and the guy ahead of me had still not gotten into the chair I was out of time and wasted my entire hour long break and was not able to get a hair cut. I do not understand why you even have an app if it can still be over an hour off. When I asked the manager at the store why she would let her employees all go with so many people in the store she got defensive and started making excuses about lack of employees and how it was not here fault. I asked her for the contact information for the Person in charge of that location and she refused to give it to me and told me that the head manager would just give me the same excuses. I have used this store for years and never seen this manager. I cannot believe you can stay in business if this is how you operate. I would still like to discuss with the actual person in charge.

I come here regularly for a high and tight haircut. They get it right every time and go a step further and offer a rinse. My only gripe is check-in online, which is not on par. That is not their fault. Other than the online times being off. Great haircut and stylist.

Although I live in Ankeny I chose to use the Johnston location for my haircut. I could check in online and get in faster than I could at either Great Clips near me. The stylist listened to me and gave me the cut I was looking for.Service: Haircut
