I love the selection of cloth used in the clothes. Breathable and comfortable. The staff know their stock inside and out and make helpful suggestions. Attentive, not over bearing. My FAVORITE place in Iowa City for contemporary clothing and a super purse selection.

There is no other clothing store like Textiles anywhere. I've lived in large cities and in areas that were "fashion conscious." I had to come to Iowa to find a shop that meets my artistic and fabric aesthetic.

'Life is too short to be uncomfortable.' Textiles has been around for FOREVER... ok like, almost three decades. This store is definitely for customers who want something that's fun-- both in style and in comfort. As far as women's clothing stores in downtown Iowa City; this one seems the most, normal? Like-- for the typical woman, who isn't a fashionista by any means but is trendy and seeking comfy clothes. That was the vibe I got stepping in here one Friday evening with my mom. And then I found out that Textiles used to be a fabric store. WELL, that totally made sense because the fabrics of their apparel totally stood out during my excursion. This is honestly a store I will keep coming back to when shopping for my mother and mother in-law. Mostly because it is one of the few stores I could do that? Both women's styles are VERY different, I'm hard pressed to think of another one-stop shop in the area. I feel like I could find something that is uniquely them at this store. They have a little bit of everything for everyone! The pricing is on point. The accessories ranging from jewelry to handbags are quality and different. Staff is helpful and friendly. Parking isn't awesome, but that's what you get downtown!
