OBSESSED! Fair trade store with tons of great products made all over the World by very talented people. Foods, jewelry, clothes, etc. Liz the very friendly and knowledgeable lady working filled us in on a lot of cool stuff. I could have sat and talked to her all day. So inspiring and informative! Please go visit and buy from this shop doing such amazing work. They are online as well!!!

We just stopped at Ten Thousand Villages for the first time today, and we will absolutely be back again soon! They have ethically sourced, fair trade goods from across the world -- we saw goods from Vietnam, African countries, Latin American countries, and more!The goods are EXTREMELY reasonably priced too! I love purchasing fair trade goods, but they are often out of budget for small gifts. This shop is full of quality, affordable items. We got a nativity today, and we'll be back again to get gifts for family and friends.

Absolutely in love with this store. I love traveling so the fact that this store is available for me to buy gifts from other countries is great. They're fair-trade, encourage diversity and is non-profit makes it one of the first places I shop when I'm looking for gifts.

I have fallen in love with this store. You haven't been there then you should go soon. The selection of items is amazing. The staff is helpful and very friendly. I give The Thousand Villages my highest recommendation. They're a welcoming a business and a an excellent supporter of the local downtown Iowa City shopping district.

Nice fair-trade household items including holiday decorations and wall hangings. This is a great place to come on a girls day shopping trip, fun to browse. You might find the perfect coasters, baskets, scarves, drinkware, or decorative pillows.
