Good location but almost every time I buy something marked ‘on sale’ or ‘buy 2 for $x’ it rings up as the original price. At a certain point one has to wonder if the management is doing it intentionally.

The location and convenience of this Target location makes it a prime spot for both students and local residents. However, I’m intensely disappointed by the deliberate predatory pricing at this store. The Target in Coralville is less than 5 miles away yet offers prices up to 20% less than its Iowa City counterpart. They sell the same items, have the same shipping zone, and are in the same geographic location. This type of pricing model disproportionately affects students, people who do not own a car or are unable to drive, and those who work downtown. It’s really embarrassing that Target would blatantly flaunt its greed by taking advantage of people so openly. I took a photo of just one example of the *exact* same product online (with my store location set to Coralville) vs. in-person at the Iowa City location. Many people have been lamenting the increase in groceries and basic items which has stretched everyone’s budget. Target is consistently adding to our financial burdens just to add to their profits.

The management team here is nasty , the way they talk to people the way they treat they're staff as well as employees is unacceptable and they're suppose to be a more convenient target no better off going to Coralville where the customer services is great !!

Located in the heart of the city. Small and compact. Entrance is ordinary. But you will get basics.

Witnessed managers berating their employees many times. If they are that open about being jerks to the staff on the sales floor I can't imagine how bad it is offstage.

The employee’s attitude is very rude. I want to buy some gift cards and we have for people. He says one person can buy five gift cards but we can not buy them. But when we go to the target at Coralville, the employee allows us to buy them and she is very kind. The employee at this downtown target is racism. Don’t go to this place.

The location was sort of cool like those you see in the city being a two-story location. Obviously, items in stock are limited to those needed by students or those you see in the convenience store, but it serves its purpose for 80% of things a person needs. Prices seemed a little higher but I'm guessing that's due to the convenience the store offers. The staff were all friendly.

Pretty good for the size, an obnoxious amount of alcohol granted it's essentially on-campus

This location actively lies to its customers about prices. It'll say one price on the shelf, but will ring up 60¢ or higher for some products. The website will have the correct price. I get that it's downtown and they'll markup products to prey on college students, but to lie about it and hope you don't see it when you check out is another thing.Noticed this on two different products this year.

Rarely shop at Target since I can get most things cheaper at Walmart. This is a convenience store Target.

This Target is right in the center of Downtown Iowa City. It's of course smaller than its suburban siblings, but it packs a lot of inventory in its 2 floors. The extended hours also accents the overall convenience of this place. The first floor is heavy on groceries, including a generous selection of beer and wine. That's a good thing for folks like me who took a bottle of wine back to my hotel room. Ditto for over 21 students and folks who live in the neighborhood or are visitors. They do card everyone, and I enjoyed the comment from a Target team member who had never seen a Nevada driver's license before. The 2nd floor is more household sundries, clothing, and other goods targeted towards more every day shopping.
