Highly recommended. Great prices, nice selection. And best of all you find one you want pay and you get to take it home, you dont have to wait 2 weeks for it to come in. Unless someone bought the floor display.

Totally pulling the wool over peoples eyes. I just spent $749 on what was a firm mattress that I layed on & this is 1 of their lower quality mattresses. Jennifer the owner tokd me that she would load it for me & she grabbed 1 of the mattresses that was wrapped in plastic & she told me that this mattress is the same mattress I layed on & ended up purchasing, but it is the newer version. I got it home & when I went to bed later that night, i layed down & this newer version mattress was very soft. NOT WHAT I THOUGHT I WAS PURCHASING!!! ALL SALES ARE FINAL, NO RETURNS ACCEPTED!!! This is what I consider a scam right from the get go. The prices they advertise as the prices the mattresses start out at just FYI... These starting out @ prices are for a 3" piece of foam & the prices go up $100 for each mattress that is next in line. The pictures on these businesses ads are not the mattresses that srart at $100. Those mattresses in the advertisement are their $1200.00 mattresses. GO TO SLUMBERLAND OR MATTRESS FIRM & I guarentee you that you will get a much much better quality (or atleast the mattress you paid for) mattress.

I don’t normally do reviews on products but I made an exception for this one! I just really want to share the awesome experience I had there with the owner Jenny. She was very knowledgeable and took her time finding me the perfect bed within my budget! Now I have a comfy place to lay my head and I can still afford to pay my rent! Bonus they also deliver!

Nick was absolutely awesome and easy to deal with. He did exactly what he said he was going to do. Today he went above and beyond and delivered a bedframe to my parents and that goes a long ways with service. We will recommend to everyone we know and will be back for our next bed set.. Scam. I paid for a new mattress and when he delivered it it was a floor model that he transported to my home without it being protected by plastic in the open back of his truck. There were red flags throughout the appointment, sa when he suggested I sell my old mattress and that "you can say it comes from a pet free home, how will they know the difference." When I told him I hadn't agreed to a floor model he gaslit me very effectively. Posting this so other disabled and low income people are warned.

IF YOU'RE NEW TO IOWA CITY OR ON A BUDGET: Go on Amazon and buy a highly-reviewed mattress for under $250!! At least buy from a store with a return policy! (This is the norm for reputable mattress retailers). This franchise is NOT a good option for you. Mattress by Appointment (MBA) brand mattresses are of very low quality and HEAVILY marked up, relying on astroturfing and a sales pitch to make money.You WILL overpay if you buy a mattress here like I did. You'll realize that people who bought a bed-in-a-box online or at a known store got a FAR more comfortable bed for hundreds less than you paid.Do not fall for the claims/taglines that you're getting a great deal; there's a reason that the price of Mattress By Appointment brand mattresses aren't listed online. The business model is to draw you in and sell you on a pretty clever, low pressure pitch and end up buying a mattress for far more than it's worth.I spent $500 (a good, discounted deal, I was told) for a 10 inch spring bed that I could feel the slats of my bed frame through, and I weigh less than 175lbs. My friends bought thick, five-star memory foam mattresses for $200-$300 online tops that have held together comfortably for years.Be smarter than I was. If a business has this many red flags (similar formulaic reviews all around the same time period; marked-up, low quality products; no-credit financing for expensive items, no returns) then you should stay away.

This was by far the easiest and least stressful way to buy a mattress (in addition to getting a great deal)! Nick was helpful, flexible, and very straightforward. He was invested in ensuring that I got what I needed without trying to upsell me on anything. I'm so thankful that Mattress By Appointment is in the area!
