I shop at the Knitting Shoppe every time I'm back in Iowa City. Wide selection of yarn that's well displayed. The owner is very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. If you're a knitter this is a most stop.

I was fortunate to receive a gift certificate to use at The Knitting Shop. It was more fun than I imagined to use it! With Edie’s kind assistance (sharing in the joy of my gift), I selected beautiful yarn for creating a warm shawl. Highly recommended as a source of yarns, super advice and assistance! It was wonderful! The owner and other employee Connie were so nice to us when we stopped by on a Wednesday afternoon. Connie was so helpful and even told me how to correctly do a stitch that I was having trouble with. Thanks again ladies! We will be back!

Knowledgeable staff, wonderful appearing shop with knitted showpieces and great yarn reasonably priced. Owner Edie tends to be a take-charge kind of person who can be overwhelming, but some beginners may like that.
