That my bad experience in a story whit the team Iowa Hawk Shop,I made a purchase on July 9th, 2023, from the University of Iowa Hawk Shop website, order number 22530000059557. Unfortunately, my experience has been far from satisfactory. Out of the 8 products I ordered, one crucial item, a diploma frame for the School of Law priced at $233.24, did not arrive. Despite numerous attempts to resolve the issue, including calls and emails to both the Hawk Shop and USPS, the problem remains unresolved. Each time I contacted the Hawk Shop, I was met with apologies and assurances that my refund would be processed promptly. However, despite receiving email confirmations of the refund receipts on July 18th, August 11th, November 2nd, December 6th on 2023 and January 24th 2024, the refund never materialized.The lack of accountability and failure to provide a resolution is deeply disappointing. It's disheartening to see a lack of follow-through and customer service from a university-affiliated shop. I urge others to reconsider shopping at the University of Iowa Hawk Shop until they demonstrate a commitment to resolving customer issues promptly and effectively.Hopefully, since it will be a year ago, I am waiting for a solution.

Awesome store. They have anything and everything, Hawkeyes. Wonderful staff, very helpful and friendly. Because I'm from out of state visiting, they shipped my purchase to my home. Everything arrived quickly and intack. I will be back next time I'm in town. Go Hawks!

I tried to pay $145 online 7 times for a jersey and a tshirt. said my card wasn't valid. ended up just going to fanatics and got the jersey and shirt I was buying for $30 cheaper anyways. online store is a dump

Plain and simple. UNIVERSITY OF IOWA. Best in Writing curriculum. None compares. Always saw their sports. Didn't expect to have my son receive a scholarship and graduate from THE UNIVERSITY OF IOWA. HAWK WAS VERY NICE BEEN THERE TWO FLOORS. Across from original State Capital of Iowa.

Horrible customer service. They tried to make me pay for a rented book when the book was 40 years old. The pages were yellow and and the binding glue was crumbling. The pages were falling out but they were all there. They tried to say I damaged the book and it could not be returned, that I would have to buy it. I did not turn the pages yellow and cause the binding to crumble in the three months I rented it. The store director eventually returned it, stating the person working the return desk was a temporary employee. I asked if I was responsible for the damage, tell me how I damaged the book? They had no answer. Rent from Iowa Book and skip this mess.

Ordered books on 8/7 after confirming with the store that they could be delivered before the start of the semester. Two weeks later I called to followup on where they were, the order had been received but never processed. on 8/20 they said they had shipped them via UPS. On 8/25, after the start of the semester, I called to see where the books were. I was told it showed as shipped in their system but there was no tracking number and they didn't actually know where the books were.I took all of the required precautions to ensure that I would have the books in time for classes to begin and two days in to the semester I am unprepared to do assignments because I trusted the University of Iowa to send me the materials I needed.I will go back to using Amazon next semester because I never had this issue.

My son purchased a laptop in December of 2020 for $1,000. They didn't have any in stock so they showed us a demo unit. He needed a computer quickly so we decided to buy it. We were not informed that a demo unit does not come with a 1 year warranty but the remainder of the warranty from when the store put it on demo. The computer failed in less than 6 months and we brought it in to be serviced. It just so happens the computer's warranty ended in March of 2021 so they said their is nothing they will do without charging me more money. I will not spend another dime at that place. You shouldn't sell expensive electronic items if you are not going to provide a standard warranty of a year for it. Stand behind your products! Stay away from buying electronics at the Iowa State Bookstore.

I am astounded that I'm unable to get an exchange on two items that were never worn other than to try on and discover it was too small. My items were shipped back in the same packaging they arrived in but deemed unsellable by the store director. If they are in unsellable condition then you shipped them that way. After 13 years of ordering birthday and Christmas gifts for my husband and son this is unacceptable.

TERRIBLE SERVICE! I called a total of thirty times over the past week during store hours, left voicemails and emails. No one ever got back to me. Email and call is the only way to get ahold of them due to the ongoing pandemic. They also told me my books would be her on August 23rd-24th at the latest. I ordered them plenty of time in advance! Completely unprofessional. I have homework due so I had to use another textbook store to get my textbooks a second time. I ended up spending twice as much on textbooks and have still not heard back regarding my book status and a refund. I would not buy here! It is a waste of time and money!
