“Many grocery stores share similar qualities. The factor that sets Fareway head and shoulders above the rest is their Meat Counter. You will not find high quality meat sold in the Iowa City area. The staff at the Meat Counter are courteous, knowledgeable and extremely helpful.”
“The owner of this place is always smiling and he is very welcoming and kind and happy to help you get what you need. So I was very happy to see that he expanded his little store. This place offers Middle Eastern/Mediterranean, Indian, and African groceries, spices, veggies, frozen foods, etc. Their Halal meats are good and I personally purchase their lamb and beef. I like that the owner is knowledgeable of his products because when I haven’t tried a certain brand of food and ask him about it he will tell me if it truly differs from the brand I know, even if it will convince me to buy the cheaper option. You can call ahead of coming in and ask them to prepare the meat products you want by weight, type, and cut and they will ask for your pick-up time so it is ready to pick-up. This is very convenient if you just want to quickly drop-in.”
“First time at this store. It seemed very clean. The gentleman at the meat counter was very helpful and accommodating. Check out was fast and the lady was very pleasant. She also got my bag of ice for me and carried it out to my car.”

“ALDI is a great addition to the variety of grocery stores in Iowa City. There are unique foods and great values that make it popular for regular return visits. The store is small enough that parking is usually available close to the door.”
“Amazing market! I loved the variety of items here! It's a small building but they are able to utilize their space so well and can pack just about anything you could need for cooking Asian dishes in that space.”

“I love this place! I grew up in Iowa City and this was always where we shopped because we were a family of food allergies. I went back while visiting in Iowa City and it brought back all the feels. The Coralville store is nice and larger, but this is the original and a gem. If you are vegan or dairy free, the vegan cheese selection is insane! I've lived in a handful of larger cities and no where has even come close to the vegan cheese offerings here! The freshly made food and desserts are awesome too, with many vegan options!”

“Quite the gem tucked away here in Iowa City. Al Salam has a decent array of various Middle Eastern Foods and Treats. I've found the pricing to be good and these date cookies are rather delicious. Not to mention the Turkish Olives they import.If you live in town you should stop by and give it a try.”
“Hyvee Grill is open, Yes Please!!! I stopped here for lunch today and had a burger, bag of popcorn, and a drink for $5.50. Can't beat that deal! So delicious.”

Staff is so friendly and will go out of their way to ensure you have an easy visit. This location is also massive with so many options!”
“This Target is right in the center of Downtown Iowa City. It's of course smaller than its suburban siblings, but it packs a lot of inventory in its 2 floors. The extended hours also accents the overall convenience of this place. The first floor is heavy on groceries, including a generous selection of beer and wine. That's a good thing for folks like me who took a bottle of wine back to my hotel room. Ditto for over 21 students and folks who live in the neighborhood or are visitors. They do card everyone, and I enjoyed the comment from a Target team member who had never seen a Nevada driver's license before.The 2nd floor is more household sundries, clothing, and other goods targeted towards more every day shopping.”

“I also work at this Hy-Vee Gas and can confirm we do not have Krispy Kreme donuts. If you ever need help with the pumps, if you go to #5 or #6 there is an assistance button you can use to page us outside.”

“3 of the 4 EV car charging cables work in the parking lot (The chargepoint ones). The fourth cable is severed. I like to charge my car while shopping. Since I can not make use of my HY-Vee gas rewards this is as nice incentive to visit the store; the gas rewards are worthless to me since I have an electric car.
The store itself does a good job of making the most of its space. Though there are many cases, there are more store brands than regular brand choices.”
“A solid, upstanding gassing experience was had here, by me, on at least a few occasions. The petrol flowed smooth and true. Free air pump to get my tires feeling right. Happy psi, happy husband. They were out of Juul pods when I went inside? Gas stations can't run out of Juul pods. Juul pods are to me what gasoline is to my car.”
“I haven't had Hyvee breakfast in forever! Yesterday, I stopped in with my youngest daughter so we could eat/hangout between basketball games. I had a veggie skillet with added sausage. The breakfast was just as good as I remembered and staff was awesome!”
“Easy check in process, designated staging area, easy backing to dock and check out process is good also. Called to door minutes after checking in early and had loader waiting by the door. Once done loader put the seal on and shipping calls when bol's are ready. 2 hrs for everything.”
