I just went there at 1:29PM to pickup a prescription, and they slammed their accordion wall in front of me. I asked an employee who was stocking shelves and witnessed it, what that was about, and he said, "oh the pharmacy closes for lunch from 1:30 to 2PM every day, you just missed them". Guess they will be missing me from now on, after I just drove 40 minutes there and home, with no prescription in my posession.

Rude stuff at photo station!!! Encountered problem at that place twice. Never using their printing service anymore.

No other CVS location or pharmacy has ever made me feel like a burden for filling my medications. This one does. I've had similar experiences as other reviewers. I feel very validated seeing I'm not the only one who has experienced such unprecedented coldness from the pharmacy here.

Employees are rude don't care about customers. It used to be a good place to shop but it's really gone down hill with poor management.

I have relentlessly trying to get my prescription for a week. The pharmacy just keeps telling me that the insurance company needs to approve my prescription further. Low and behold I get a text yesterday from this pharmacy and they said that my doctor needs to prescribe me an alternative. I called the pharmacy and the person on the phone was incredibly rude and short with me and basically acted like my situation was beyond solving. Basically said “tough luck you can’t get your meds”

My sick family member was strung along for almost 2 hours being made to believe their prescription was being filled when it wasn’t. He sat and waited, progressively getting worse, waiting for the medication he needed to feel better. None of the staff cared or helped, and had the audacity to lie about why they took so long.In my 24 years I have never had such a bad experience at a pharmacy. My family member and I were told it would take 15 minutes to fill the prescriptions and it took 1 hour and 45 minutes. We waited that first hour assuming we felt it was taking longer since we were anxious to get my family member the medication they needed. Finally at the 1 hour mark (we then realized much, much, more time had passed than we realized) they called us up to confirm the prescription so they could start filling it. We were confused because what had they been doing the last hour? Why were we told to wait only 15 minutes for them to fill it? When asked how much longer it would take they said “it takes time for the prescription to go through” which was a straight out lie. We had been specifically told 1 hour ago that the prescription had gone through and we needed to wait 15 minutes for it to be filled. This was only two medications!! It then took them 45 minutes to fill the actual prescription of only two medications, one of which is prepackaged so they only had to grab it off the shelf. We felt helpless at that point, as we had already asked “how much longer it would be” and we were met with lies. What more can you do at that point without getting rude? We sat and waited for the prescriptions feeling powerless.The incompetence and lack of empathy for the sick people waiting hours for their medications was astounding. I hope something is changed because that was a horrific pharmacy experience that directly caused my family member physical harm. DO NOT GO HERE.

I've noticed that they keep food that's past its best by date on the shelf and sell it to customers, which is absolutely disgusting.As well as spoiled food, they have terrible customer service. The woman at the customer service desk (Michelle) is terribly rude and even talked back to her manager. I came in to return something i bought the day prior because it the seal was already broken on it and it leaked everywhere in my bag. The receipt was blurred because the product leaked all over, but you could still see how much the products cost. She refused to put it back on the original payment (credit card) even though i had my receipt, but instead put it on 2 seperate gift cards. She didn't even want to give me the price listed on the shelf for that item and i needed the manager to talk to her so I could get my full refund. What a btch

This weekend I went to CVS pharmacy to pick up three of my five prescriptions. Despite their automated refill telling me they were ready, I only received one which was not even one the prescriptions I needed. I was told to come back this Monday which I did. They had lost my prescription, and after looking for ten minutes they decided to just refill right there. As it turns out, the prescription I received was the same one I received this weekend. I told them this and they told me they had no record of giving it to me, and I would have to come back a third time to recieve my final prescription. I have been going to this CVS for almost two years, and they have never once had my prescription ready for me correctly the first time regardless of whether I use their automated system or call them personally. I return to this CVS simply because there is nowhere else in walking distance that I can go to, however if you are fortunate enough to have the option I strongly recommend you go anywhere else.

Convenient on campus easy to walk to after class except for the virulent racism. As an international student from Africa, i try to keep an open mind. I have been in Iowa city for 3 years and every single time I'm followed closely in this store. I have had them scream 'anything i can help you with today' from the other side of the store. I used to say give them time maybe they recognize you are a regular and leave you alone. Nope. just the other day i had two not one attendant follow me around. I give up.
