New hotel, so rooms were nice and clean. Had an item stolen out of my suitcase. Not sure why there was cleaning staff in my room to begin with - I never asked for it where most Marriott properties where I’ve stayed only clean when you ask for it. Reported to the Manager who said she would investigate. Never called back, never offered an apology. Defensive, saying she’s had the same cleaning crew since opening and never had a problem. I guess it was my fault for assuming items in my luggage were safe. Will not stay at this property again - very poor customer service and follow up.

In town for a wedding at this hotel. The ladies at the desk, Fatima, Macie were very welcoming. The rooms were beautiful and well taken care of. The venue was spectacular, food delish and staff so accommodating. We were waited on by a staff member who was at the wedding till late hours and insisted on taking our breakfast order since we were so many people. Cant say enough about this place, hope to revisit soon!!!

Dad in ICU...checked in after midnight...$160 per room. Noises during night....water running, fan sound....like somebody was making coffee beside my bed. Woke up to get breakfast then go see dad....no free breakfast....sorry, this should not be. Lady at desk told us that not all Marriott hotels offer free breakfast. What a stupid decision. Awful experience. Other hotels are more affordable and have to have better service....go there instead

I recently stayed here for a wedding and was overall disappointed with the stay. The venue for the wedding and reception was well done, but the rooms could have been better.If you are staying at the hotel, I highly recommend not staying on the 5th floor. If a church mouse is above you, you can hear every step. So if there is any event, even if it is not a wedding, playing music, do not stay on that floor. It is not quite at all.The thermostat in the room is more of a decorative piece than a functioning thing. Our room never cooled down, but the worst part is the room was extremely humid. Unfortunately, the bathroom fan is on a timer, so we could not run it the whole time to try and make it less humid.

Had an early morning appointment at the hospital, and this was very convenient for us wisconsinites. Clean, comfortable, and quiet, except for the snoring. Will stay again if I ever have to.Rooms: The shower was very nice, with spacious rooms and comfortable beds.Nearby activities: Just a couple minutes from the main entrance of the hospital.Food & drinks: Son had a sandwich at the grill and said it was delicious.

Very clean, very quiet and the bed was comfortable. No complaints. I just wish they had free breakfast like Fairfield and Springhill Suites provide.

Very nice hotel, clean rooms. Friendly service. Good location right by Iowa University hospital.Rooms: Nice large rooms. Close to stadium, hospital and children's hospital.

My Wife and I stayed here for several weeks while a family member was at the U of I Hospital. The hotel and staff were top notch. Rooms were very nice with great views. The location was very convienent for anyone in town for a Iowa sporting event or hospital visit. We also had many meals at the Bistro, all the food was great. Highly recommend a stay here!

Showed up at 9:15 after a very active athletic event to an understaffed hotel where only 1 elevator worked with a hand written sign asking that I climb 5 flights of stairs instead. There was no lights in the rooms, no A/C no way to even open a window to get air. All in all a dismal experience that I’d expect from a bottom tier hotel chain. I don’t pay courtyard prices to deal with roadside in issues. Plan ahead don’t expect to charge top dollar and provide bottom dollar experiences. Would not recommend and I fact based on this experience I personally won’t trust that a courtyard in any city will live up to what I used to expect from them

When traveling we typically choose Courtyard by Marriott because of the high quality properties, great locations, and most of all, the staff that seem to be consistently friendly, professional, and helpful. This location near the sports stadium and healthcare services in Iowa City is exceptional. Inside the hotel adjacent to the lobby is the Bistro — a restaurant and bar that offers excellent food and fresh-made Starbucks coffee including espresso. Fast and friendly service. A great venue to take a break and recharge.

Very convenient to hospital! Our room was very clean and the bathroom was as well. There was a shower only in our room but it was very big and nice.Rooms: The room was GREAT

We stayed here for a wedding. The room, service, price and location (we loved the view lolof Kinnick) were all top notch.
