I recently purchased a Mazda CX-50 from Carousel Mazda and had the pleasure of working with Lewey. From the start, his attentive approach made the car-buying process simple and enjoyable.
He was incredibly helpful and informative while I was trying to decide exactly which model and trim I was looking for, but what sets Lewey apart is his dedication to customer satisfaction. Even after the sale, he followed up to make sure I wasn't having any issues and was settling in nicely to my new car.
Once we'd worked out our deal, the dealer financing phase was also quite painless. The Mazda credit application was straightforward, and when I took delivery, I only needed about 20 minutes or so with the finance manager to get all the various forms signed for the loan, purchase, title, and trade in.
If I'm still in the area when it comes time to get another vehicle, I'll definitely be reaching back out to Lewey and Carousel.

Bought a Mazda at Carousel recently and had a terrific experience with Sage (sales) and everyone else involved in the process, from reception to finance. I knew what I was looking for and I appreciated the staff being honest and upfront about inventory and pricing, rather than a constant game of smoke and mirrors. The staff offered amenities and higher priced options but respected any declines and moved on without hesitation. Because of my experience I’ll certainly return and consider buying my next family vehicle from Carousel again, and again after that.

Service department told me over the phone they'd have to see my vehicle in order to tell me what model infotainment system I had for a screen replacement. Came in twice. First visit was told they'd have to scan it, so I'd have to make an appointment. No mention of any kind of fee to just identify which model I had. Upon 2nd visit, was told they'd have to charge me $80 for " diagnostic". I didn't need a diagnostic, only needed to know if the screen could be replaced. After being told I should know there would be a charge for something so simple, I left. Was simply dismissed, with no apology or any accountability whatsoever.

I went to carousel to trade in my 2017 Miata. Loved the car but at 6’6”, it’s a little cramped. That’s when I met Yuchen Wei. First car salesman I’ve ever met that possessed honor, integrity and respect. He knew the vehicles he was selling and offered more information than I had thought to ask. I had wanted a new CX-5 and he would have sold it to me but he wanted me to see a trade in that had just arrived. This car had more features than I knew existed and was less money by far! Less money means less commission. Who does that?! I still have the car and love it! I took my daughter to carousel and she bought 2 vehicles there and tonight I took my girlfriend and she is very happy with the service Yuchen Wei, provided. Four years after I bought my cx-5 from him, he still remembers my name. I couldn’t remember his so before we went, I spent an hour looking him up on the internet. I wanted him to be the one my girlfriend met and he didn’t disappoint! God bless this young man! I hope his superiors realize his talents!

Purchased a used Mercedes and the dealership was very forward with the issues the car had… worked with me as well as not trying to push me into a deal I didn’t want to do. Tyler and Brian were very helpful making the buying process no more than 30 minutes.

Carousel Mazda has a great team of professionals who helped my wife and I choose a car (here or elsewhere) without pressure to buy. They were honest and clear. The contract work was easy, too. No hard sell on undercoating, etc. That was nice.

We had an excellent experience buying a new SUV from them. We cannot say enough nice things about our salesperson Yuchen Wei. He is very knowledgeable about the vehicles he sells. My husband is very technical and Yuchen went in-depth when answering. Buying a new vehicle can be challenging because there are so many new features to learn and he took the time to show us everything. Our trade-ins amounts were about what we thought we would get if we had sold them by ourselves but without any hassles. I was able to get the color and features I wanted the most without waiting for it from the factory. They had a very nice selection on the lot.

Terrible. Had a sensor issue with an almost new vehicle where the back would not latch. They replaced it and then it happened again less than 8 months later. When I went in, they said I would have to pay an $100 deductible for the vehicle for them to fix the exact same thing they already fixed. I already paid for the extended warranty as well. The service manager actually looked at me and said, "at some point you will need to start taking ownership of your own vehicle". We also had a horrible experience the first time we went. They sold us a used car that had an issue coming off of the lot. It sounded like the bottom was going to fall out. They refused to take it back within 45 minutes of selling it for the issue but admitted that there was an issue and forced me to pick another vehicle on their lot or keep it. We have also heard they are terrible by many University of Iowa employees by just essentially ripping people off financially. Just terrible all around. Please Go somewhere else!

As a First Responder and Small Business Owner ,On 12/22/2022 I purchased a used vehicle from this dealership , after driving approx 187 miles from the dealership the service park assist system light came on, I contacted the dealership Internet Sales Manager Ernie that I purchased the vehicle from via cell phone Immediately upon the service warning lights activating and did not receive a response ( see attached screen shots , after hearing no response I called the dealership the next day after having to spend the night locally due to the lights on the dashboard and not hearing a response, after finally contacting Ernie I was told“ we’ll it’s cold that’s what is causing it and when asked “if it does not go away is there anything you could do since I just purchased the vehicle”? I was told there’s not much we can do anyway by this car dealer, I contacted GMC direct because as it is a GMC vehicle ( even though it was purchased by from a Nissan Dealership) , they advised me to contact Nissan as it is a Nissan dealership and that they were sorry I experienced this at this dealership , after contacting corporate I was advised to bring it in for a diagnostic test. At an authorized GMC dealer I was told that the parking assist sensor was bad and required repair, that the rear defroster was not connected and missing( even though it was advertised as working) that the codes were cleared, and that the struts were “blown and leaking fluid everywhere” GMC stated that there was no way that this could have happened on my travel home and that this was a preexisting problem. GMC stated I should contact the dealer with the problems that were encountered because it appears that they took advantage of the consumer and we’re not being honest with selling this vehicle. GMC stated that there was no way possible that in the amount of time that I had the vehicle that all these problems and warning messages would have triggered and that they had to be preexisting. I contacted Adam who is a Sales Manager at this dealership and was advised that “ all there vehicles go through an extensive safety and inspection process , he proceeded after our conversation to say that in Iowa there is no buy back or refund ( which I never mentioned or insinuated) , Adam stated that “Ernie tried to contact me multiple times, when I heard this I contacted my cell phone provider who stated that after reviewing the bill that there was no such calls placed to my number. I explained to him I was assured that this vehicle was in good condition and had no preexisting conditions. He stated “ he’d look into it and call me back” After feeling dismissed , and at a loss for words due to just spending tens of thousands of dollars at this dealership to what amounted to and felt like as soon as they got my money that they could just simply say not my problem , and that my concerns not taken seriously , I contacted Controller Kyle , after talking to Kyle he completely changed his stance by stating that he talked to Ernie and Adam and stated “ going above Adams head is prolly not the way to get the outcome I want”. After I stated to Adam that I would be in contact with Ken ( the Dealer Principal ) I was talked down upon in my opinion, ( please review you’re recorded calls) As a Small Business Owner and a First Responder I feel personally offended and flabbergasted by a statement of that. After having this vehicle diagnosed at a GMC dealership they quoted $3600 in repairs even going as far as stating that this vehicle should not have been sold in this condition and that it will not pass a state inspection. As seen by the previous reviews , an automated copy and paste message is applied saying to call and talk to someone. After this experience with this dealer I have little to no faith they will make right with what should have been fixed prior to purchase. I was advised by my multiple sources to take what ever the dealer offered ( which was a measly $1000) and to report this to corporate

try to avoid them .I bought extended warranty for my 2019 car and I was told that I can cancel it anytime .and now it is the 5th week since I canceled it and yet I didn't take the money .and it is good to mention at the beginning I was told I will receive the money after 3 weeks so I called them and they told me one week more , and again I called them and they told me 1 another one week .and now I will gonna start the 6th week and I didn't received the money yet.I know the market now is not that good to find what you are looking for so if you can avoid them you are the winner , if not you need to be very careful because they are not professional .

Didn't end up buying a car from Carousel Mazda, as they didn't happen to be allocated with the color-trim combination we like. But Sage has been very helpful and responsive throughout the process!

Worst service dept. I have ever had to deal with! I waited 2 weeks for my appointment, only to be called the day before and informed that they would not have anyone to work on my car. The next time they can get me in is in 3 weeks!! REALLY?? 3 more weeks?? No explanation given. I asked for the service manager to call me back, but he would not. Evidently no one wants to take ownership. For a dealership that sells the cars they do, I certainly expect more.....a LOT more!! They say that service sells cars. NOT HERE! Their ads claim they are #1 on Hwy. 1. I'd say more like #2!

Best not to take your car there to get worked on, I did 2 yrs ago to have them replace the rear brakes and now I did it cause one brake was locking at times. The mechanic did not put anti squeal on the back of the pads and probably didnt do the job right for them to fail in 2 yrs, let alone the rear brakes. The front are most of the stopping power

I contacted the dealership directly as they had an exact car I was looking for. During the process, my salesperson, Ryan, was very friendly and informed me about the car I was interested in. I told him exactly what I had, the mileage, and all the details needed. When asked about the deal, I knew what I wanted and what I was willing to do. We negotiated very briefly and then came to an agreement in principle. I then drove 6.5 hours one WAY to meet them at the dealership in the morning at the agreed-upon time. They looked at my car and agreed that the deal we were discussing and the values were in line. He also informed me about the lemon law and why this care was labeled a lemon in the state of California. It was due to a non-functioning Navigation unit (totally okay with me). I did ask him to email me a copy of that lemon law certificate to my email. We sat in the office for 20 minutes, signed papers, wrote a check, and were on our way. Two days later he checked in on the vehicle, and I informed him that the sunroof wasn't working. We still haven't received the email with the lemon law disclosure they were going to send right away. In regards to the sunroof, haven't heard anything about it, no response, until I got an email to review them. I love the car, and the salesperson was nice and attentive, but the follow-up or lack thereof leaves a sour taste.
