Buzz is by far the best hair salon to get a haircut. Eric has cut my hair for about two years now. I no longer live in Iowa City but I still come back to get an excellent cut from Eric and to enjoy the atmosphere of the shop. Danny, who always checks me in at the front is very prompt and polite. Offering complimentary beverages and always easy to talk. Eric is not only my barber/hair specialist but he is also a friend. He’s super funny and super kind so I recommend asking for Eric if it is your first time at Buzz.

Thomas can do a traditional Blunt Cut better than anyone anywhere. I live Southern California and I can spend more money there and never get as good of a cut as he does... HE DOES HAIR PERFECTLY...for me 30 years now and I have baby fine hair so it is not easy but he makes it look easy.
Requested style: Traditional Blunt Cut NOT sure what it is called these days but it has been around for along time...all one length and all georgous.

Got a consult at Buzz while in Iowa City for the weekend, doing advance wedding prep. Thomas fit himself into my crazy schedule and did an AMAZING test cut of my curly grey hair. I've not had a haircut that did so much for my face and feelings in decades! Plus, he recommended a product that made my hair so soft and manageable--for real. It's been almost a month and the cut is growing out GREAT. Full disclosure: Thomas minces no words. He will tell you his honest, experienced and informed decision because, by booking with him, you asked. I found him totally refreshing. I'm SO happy with my hair. And I'm not an all caps kind of person.
