We love taking Rosie Girl to Best Friends Veterinary Care Dr Kim Vercunde & Staff are all kind and caring, we adopted Rosie about 1 year ago from Iowa City Animal Shelter she is a 2 year old Blue Heeler and can be reactive to other dogs she receives excellent loving care from them 100% all the time thanks to a wonderful team

I’ve brought both my cats (younger and older) to this vet since moving here a few years ago. The team here really are knowledgeable, caring, and will do their best to work with you and your concerns (I always have a million questions!)

I highly recommend them! They take an amazing care of my dog Luna! I had such a wonderful experience during my recent visit to the vet. Best vet in Iowa City. Dr. V has been our vet for 5 years and is so kind to our cats and dog. The staff is fabulous too, especially Tommy. For the big procedures like MRIs, ultrasounds, and special blood work, they don't have the equipment and we have to go to Cedar Rapids, but for yearly checkups, vaccinations, and diagnoses for minor or early onset problems this place is the best in town. I can't recommend Dr. V and Best Friends enough.

Seems expensive but I'm not sure how she compares to others in the area. They are very friendly and seem knowledgeable. No complaints.

Best Friends is a hidden gem! The whole staff was so professional and encouraging. With a new kitten we found and adopted, the first vet visit can be scary. The whole team at Best Friends walked me through any concerns and throughly cared for our new little one. Would recommend them for sure!

I had my baby boy in for his annual exam about a week or two after he stopped wanting to eat his kibble. The vet talked over me, to my dog, as I tried to tell her all the things I tried to get him to eat. She was sure he was just being picky and didn’t think to check labs. We lost our boy to kidney failure 2 months later at the young age of 6.5.
