A medium-sized and beautiful place. Almost everything Arabic is available. The cashier is very nice, understanding and cheerful. A wonderful place.

Quite the gem tucked away here in Iowa City. Al Salam has a decent array of various Middle Eastern Foods and Treats. I've found the pricing to be good and these date cookies are rather delicious. Not to mention the Turkish Olives they import.If you live in town you should stop by and give it a try.

Bought ingredients for Atayef and it was perfect! The desserts on display were also sooo good! The people there were so wonderful and friendly. Thank you for a wonderful experience!
