“My husband and I have a joint membership for Varsity car wash. In our estimation, it is the best car wash in Ames. I love the fact that we can drive in from being out of town, drive through the car wash and all of the bugs are removed without effort on our part; definitely good value for our money. Having vacuums, cleaning cloths and cleaning solutions is also a plus. Those services are something you cannot get at the other automatic car washes in Ames.”

“I used to think it was so silly that my boyfriend had a favorite gas station. He always puts kwik star on a pedestal, but now I understand why.It is so convenient here! They have a huge selection of food items: fresh food, drinks, donuts, meat, fruits, vegetables... you name it.Friendly staff, plenty of parking, free air, safe pumps. Great rewards program. It's really rare to find a 24-hr place that I feel safe or comfortable in, but kwik star definitely does the job!”
“Used the self pet wash today. I love all the soaps provided, everything is clean, my only complaint would be the time provided. It’s $8 for 8 minutes. I got to wash my dog but would’ve had to spend another $8 to blow dry her and she has a short coat. I would recommend you bring you own towels just in case!”
“Very good car wash, and good cleaning. Very long wait though, and the paying machine is almost broken. I have decided to go to kwik star instead, because of the better service, effectiveness, and better quality cleaning. But thanks! Edit 6/4/22: This car wash washes your car extremely well, in a VERY SHORT amount of time. Kwik star has a very long wait line, and this has virtually none. Kwik star is good too, but thanks!”

“Full service livestock trailer washout. The building isn't deep enough to get truck and trailer in. Have to back up on ramps. It's a bit pricey but not out of line.”

“They really need to adjust the count down clock for the dryer because the light always hits it & is impossible to read! But the wash seems to have been improved cause it now cleans all areas of my Equinox.”
