OK, this review is just for beef-lovers, all others should hide their eyes and read something else. Some years ago, we visited friends who live in Colorado Springs and have a place on Lake Okoboji. We drove from Colorado and pulled into town at dinnertime. On the grill was various cuts of beef from Forbes, each more tender and flavorful as the previous. Simply melt in the mouth good. Roll the clock three or four years and, lo and behold, they (being true friends) presented me with two NY strips imported from Forbes as a birthday present. All I can say is that that they were as good as I remember the first time I had meat from Forbes. Simply outstanding. Salt, cracked pepper, a little oil and cook in a flaming hot cast iron pan. Fantastic, barely needed a knife. So, there you have the sum total of my experience with Forbes. Twice up to the plate (sorry for the pun), twice hit out of the park.
