My husband is from a small town. He tells childhood stories of walking to the local drug store to get something for his Nana and getting a fountain drink or milkshake and burger for himself.I had never experienced that UNTIL we stopped overnight in Hamburg, Iowa.It was such a delight to meet the ladies working there and enjoy being part of their small town for the day!

As old school as it gets. Genuine soda fountain. Malts, shakes, phosphates. Homemade chicken salad sandwich, very tasty. Barstools and booths. I got ruler here for 35 cents. What's not to love..

Wide variety of items here in this store. I stopped in to find a souvenir shot glass and they had a perfect selection.

My husband and I stopped by on our honeymoon back in 2009. I had so much fun in this store. I still talk about it to this day. I hope I can visit one day again. We stopped because the signs on the side of the road pointed towards it. I couldn't stop laughing and bugged my new husband to stop. While there I bought a shot glass thus starting my shot glass collection.Thank you for the memories Stoner Drug

I do love this little store in the cutest small town. Nothing "depressing" about it. Very kind people around town and just overall joyful workers. Great drinks. Fun little town to stop by!
