I really appreciate that this store is close to so many different places that you might need to go. Aldi, Dollar tree, trader Joe's, and other places are very close by .
Due to a recent injury I needed to use one of the mobility scooters. Even though I was parked in a handicap spot I didn't have the ability to carry my groceries out. Customer service kindly brought a staff person over and they followed me out to my car and put my groceries into my car for me. They allowed me to ride the scooter out to my car and the staff person returned it to the building. This is very much appreciated thank you.

I love the low prices at Walmart. I so wish that all of the employees were required to wear deodorant and wash appropriately. That is the only, but major downfall of Walmart.

They need to go through and pull a bunch of outdated products. Was there a few days ago and the first set of hot dogs my husband picked expiration was over a month ago and I bought fresh mozzarella snacking cheese that was outdated by two weeks. A bit irritated I didn’t catch the expiration of the cheese before I got home.

I bought a cake online and received a confirmation email that my order was processed and I could pick it up in 3 days. When I came in Friday, the cake was not there. After 20 minutes of talking with the employees, I learned that the store had simply cancelled the cake without contacting me about it in any way. The cake was supposed to be for a surprise birthday party.

Associates (Team Leads) not able to help with a credit issued by Walmart.com. Walmart does N-O-T care to get it right or ATTEMPT to MAKE IT RIGHT. Store Manager emailed with no reply - DOUBT SHE WILL EVEN ATTEMPT TO CONTACT ME. Terrible experience. Horrible customer service.

Poorly stocked. No customer service. We have stopped shopping at this store. Most of the employees don't speak English and it is located in Midwest in Iowa. Management states they can't get most people to work for them. My son worked here in 2019. Was injured when cart machine banged into his knee. Walmart refused to sent him to doctor for seven days. We took him to Unity Point doctor where he was put on meds for pain, given brace. He eventually received follow-up care with out patient therapy and was put on work restrictions as a greeting guest at front door. Walmart ended his treatment after over a year of constant pain. It has been seven years and my son still has to see a pain clinic and takes meds for knee pain. He has a torn meniscus in his left knee from cart machine banging into it. After Walmart refused to treat his knee any longer, we took him to our own doctors. Walmart fired him after his shift when we said we would take him to our own doctors.
This store has a very bad reputation. Sold us Xbox card that when attempted to load on xbox said it expired in 2021. We bought it in 2024. Walmart refused to refund or replace card. While we were there a man came in saying a gift card he bought for a restaurant wouldn't work. Walmart refused to refund or replace the card. I remember seeing a post of a women who bought multiple gift cards at Christmas as gifts and none of them were any good. Walmart refused to replace or refund her money. She had purchased like twenty $100 gift cards. Avoid this store at all costs. Walmart in general is not a great store anymore in Des Moines, Iowa area. Shelves are consistently empty, non-english speaking workers, and no customer service. We don't buy any meat products in Walmarts. We don't shop at the Grimes, IA store at all.
