“The people who work at Hy-Vee are generally very helpful. The only complaint is the pharmacy drive-thru gets extremely congested. I almost saw a fight there the other day when an unsuspecting senior pulled in the line and it was ahead of the man who had been waiting for quite awhile..he started honking then it got more aggressive until he got out of his car and started to yell at the person... it really was a scary situation... the drive-thru does need to be reconfigured as it generally has a long line. The store usually have what you need but I recommend making sure to watch when items are on sale that they ring up properly because sometimes that doesn't happen.”

“Cheryl Watson the pharmacist is top notch professional, helpful, friendly and approachable! I was in from out of town and with my Mom who needed help with her prescription. Cheryl came out from behind the counter to help communicate with her (91 and hearing problems). She listened to her needs and solved her problem. So kind!!! So kind and I know Mom is in good hands”

“This location is clean and has all of my toilette needs. They also have such things as batteries/household stuff, food, make-up, photo processing center and the big this is their pharmacy. This is my go-to pharmacy. It has a drive-thru to pick up your prescription which is very convenient. The location is in a great location in my neighborhood too. It serves as a convenience store and a pharmacy but so much more. They also have a rewards program where you can earn points that convert into money off on purchases...that does not suck! They also have online coupons and in the newspaper each week. Oh, the really big thing is if you are out of town you can go to any Walgreens in the country to get your prescription filled! Very cool!”

“My brother and I recently received excellent service from this grocery store right before Thanksgiving. Also, the adjacent liquor store had a nice selection of nonalcoholic beers, with a very helpful staff.”

“Hyvee is fantastic. Never had a bad experience with them. Sorry Conner and Kim for that jackass named Taylor that decided to leave a terrible review. He's a joke.”

“The nice thing about Walgreens is it's a convenience store as much as a drugstore so they carry some of the items that I need sometimes from Viva paper towels, Laundry soap,to food- some groceries and typical convenience store things like chips, donuts, pop, water and ice cream. The first aid items are extensive, and they have a large health and beauty area. They also have a small household supply area and school and office area. The customer service was great. I had two different staff members who took me directly to the item I was looking for. When the line started to get long, they called someone up to the front right away. Just remember, it's about expectations is understaffed, so I always appreciate the service staff who are working. I really try to look them in the eye when I'm checking out and tell them I appreciate the work they're doing. It's a small thing, but I think all of us can do it. “Walgreens always has great deals going on. I was a little turned off by the cashier's rant about the EPA being a big hoax and conspiracy. This started because when I was checking out I mentioned that I forgot to bring my reusable shopping bag. He asked where I was from and I told him "California" and then explained that plastic bags need to be purchased because they are trying to save the environment. He laughed and then proceeded to give me his VERY uninformed opinion about the EPA. Geez! Iowans get with the program.”
