Hibachi review - Normally satisfied with the Hibachi. However, today when I asked for vegetables they were incredibly skimpy. Example I asked for broccoli and I got one piece. Asked for red peppers and got 2 pieces. This continued with green peppers, onions, and zucchini. When I asked for a few more I was met with a look and a reluctant add of one more slice or piece. Sauce was not measured out and again was lightly applied.
This was out of the ordinary and, in stark contrast, the market grill was personable and helpful as I have come to expect of the Hy Vee brand.

The store is always clean and the staff is friendly. I understood it was suppose to be bigger. I'm a little disappointed because I can't always find what I'm looking for, and have to go somehow else.

It's a pretty typical Hy-Vee. My only issue is the selection seems to be not quite as good as other Hy-Vee stores, too much space wasted on non-grocery items.

There are no more smiles in the isles. All they do is but in front of you. If you don't have the man power the managers should be working.

This store is a bit of a lemon. It seems nice and well-stocked but the produce is often rotting or past the expiration date. The hy-chi guys will say they're put of steamed rice an hour before they close. The restaurant/bar area is often dirty and has dishes on tables while the bartender is just sitting watching tv. For how nice the store is, I wish they would up their quality standards.

They're a great grocery store that has quality premium food, whether its brand made or store made, and you can find some really good deals through their Ads especiallyon their phone app. If you need quick food, they have some quality different sections from Asian to Italian, with other options in between. This location has a dine in bar with a wall burgers a selection of beer you can drink at the bar with a gas station and electric charging stations near and within the premises where you can cash in your fuel points if you collect them thru the Hy-Vee app or charge your vehicle.
P.s. check out the Hy-Vee $7 cheeseburger at the gas station. It's the best hamburger you'll ever have from a gas station!

They need to have adults supervising these kids trying to run the meat slicer. They lost our sell because of it!

If I could give zero stars I would. Had a delivery order for 6 egg rolls with sweet and sour sauce, Mac and cheese with utensils, and french fries with ketchup. Sauces, utensils, or ketchup didn't show up. Mistakes happen, no big deal, so I called the store and they said if I came in they'd give me a refund because I'm not eating Mac and cheese with my fingers, I don't want dry egg rolls with no sauce, and the fries were stale and soggy by the time they arrived, so needed ketchup. In the middle of a moving situation so didn't have any of those things. I had to finish up some things and make a quick run. I drove back to Grimes (40 miles one way) specifically to go to Hy-Vee and address the situation as they told me to. When I got there, they told me no refund at all because there was no upcharge for any of that stuff. He said he had asked the manager to call me back and tell me that but they refused. So I drove 80 miles for bad customer service. They didn't even offer to give the sauces or utensils that were supposed to be there in the first place. I wasn't upset about the issue until they said one thing and then did another. I have never really enjoyed Hy-Vee because of their corporate mindset when it comes to customer service, but this was the last time I'll have to deal with it. If you're looking for "a helpful smile" try Fareway.
