I visited The Schnitzelbank in August 2019 when I was traveling on American Cruise lines trip from New Orleans to St. Paul. This shop was open when not much else was. I walked in and was instantly smitten by the obvious fine craftsmanship of their products. I fell in love with two chime mantel clocks and the owner let me listen to both clocks so I could choose based on the sound quality.

Over the years we have purchased mattresses, a hall tree, dining room table and chairs, sofa table and an end table. They all have stood the test of time and we would highly recommend these quality products.

We have ordered many pieces of furniture some custom made to fit our existing furnishings and have been extremely satisfied. The furniture is of excellent quality and Tim is great. We like that he is downtown in Fort Madison. .

I ordered a large piece of furniture from Schnitzelbank and it turned out great. I just wanted to leave positive feedback so the negative feedback isn't the only thing people see. Its difficult for a one man show to be a salesman, furniture designer, accountant, etc. The owner might not be the best people-person as another viewer suggested. But I thought the price was fair, the furniture of high quality, and the owner patiently took a lot of time to walk me through the entire process and design. He is much more knowledgeable that the salesmen at a place like Ashley Furniture or equivalent, and the products are most definitely superior for any given price point.

A few years ago we purchased a dining room set and a bench! Now we went back and ordered new living room chairs! This place has the best furniture and customer service very high quality and friendliness.
