The staff is so helpful and friendly and the art classes instructed by Jeri Sparks are the best. She is organized and articulate and teaches in all mediums. Beginners or advanced artists are sure to learn something from her.

This is a wonderful resource for the people of Fort Madison and visitors to the area. The curator has done an excellent job of collecting and displaying works of art important to the region.

From Fort Madison Area Arts Association
Arts and cultural centers help provide the spark making communities seem more interesting places to live and work. Founded in 1979 as a non-profit organization, Fort Madison Area Arts Association (FMAAA and the Art Center they provide) plays a special role in our community by offering art classes for youth and adults, along with a gallery space and community-wide cultural programming that cultivate inspiration, enhance community pride, and strengthen arts appreciation and participation. The FMAAA puts on the annual Art on the Avenue (formerly Art in Central Park,) Expressions Art Auction, and the Southeastern Iowa Spoonfest for handcarvers. They also host FINALE, a monthly performance night, Lunch ala Art, & Brews n Brushes.
