This store is a wonderful part of historic Fort Madison. You’ve always helped me out with gift ideas (fitting my budget). A Christmas tradition is my daughter-in-law choosing her own gift each year. She loves it. Between earrings and bracelets for me, engraved money clips for graduation presents, you guys are great.

This jewelry shop does not just provide beautiful jewelry but also includes a great experience because of the knowledgeable staff. I have bought my wife’s engagement ring and wedding band and plan to buy more pieces only from Dana Bushong Jewelers!

I do not recommend this place. I was treated very poorly so do not want anyone else to endure the awful customer service I did. Called ahead twice to have my rings resized and was assured on the first call there would be no problem. On the second call, I was told he would look at them and see. When I arrived, the owner, Skip, said he wouldn’t do it because I didn’t buy the rings there, which I had mentioned on both phone calls. My husband has a jeweler he prefers. My family and I have purchased many thousands of dollars of jewelry from him so I am still shocked about being turned away. Go somewhere where your business is appreciated. I prefer diamonds that are not lab created, anyway.

I do not recommend this place. Awful, rude customer service. I called twice to make sure the owner, Skip, would be in to resize my rings. The rings were not purchased there because my husband prefers another jeweler, but my family has easily spent thousands and thousands of dollars in jewelry here. I mentioned these particular rings weren't purchased there on both calls but was told it was not a problem on the first call and to call ahead to please make sure Skip was there. I called today and was told Skip was there and he would take a look at the rings. When I arrived at his store, he refused to size the rings because I didn't buy them there. That should have been told to me on the phone. If you want to be appreciated and treated with courtesy, this is not the place to buy jewelry or have your jewelry fixed. I do not want another soul to go through the horrible customer service experience I went through today. I do not care for lab created diamonds which is mostly what is offered now.

I want to thank Skip for saving my jewelry today. I got into a hot tub that apparently had a lot of chlorine in it. My two rings turned black and part of my earring back corroded, broke and fell off. Luckily I didn't lose the earring. Skip warned me last summer, and I didn't listen. There was no overpowering smell of chlorine. No amount of chlorine is safe. TAKE OFF YOUR JEWELRY BEFORE SWIMMING AND HOT TUBBING! Thanks again for making my rings beautiful again.

Wonderful service. Retipped prongs on 2 very important rings! Knew they were safe in Skips hands! Helped us find a new wedding band for husband. They didn’t have anything in stock but worked hard to find the perfect ring! When it came in it needed sized. It was ready next day even though it was December 23rd! Fabulous service!
