Can't say enough good things about these folks. I took in a 4r100 that we were having trouble getting the remanufactured pump back into place. Not only did they solve the problem, they identified a fatal machining error on the newly purchased pump (bought elsewhere). Alex did a great job explaining the situation and went above and beyond on his fix. If these guys say something, believe them. This is not your normal shade tree mechanic, Fort Dodge Transmission and their techs are professionals. 100% will return my business for future transmission repairs.

Fort Dodge Transmission rebuilt the 727 transmission in my 1964 Dodge Polara 500. They talked with me about what I wanted, and then kept me updated on the progress. The transmission shifts great now and the car drives smooth. On the second drive, I noticed that they had fixed the speedometer as well! What a pleasant surprise! I plan to have the C4 in my Mustang rebuilt there as well! Bravo Zulu! The photo is at the first car show since I got the car running.

I would give Zero stars if it would let me. Terrible service. Lies about my core transmission to my remanned transmission shipped from them. Second transmission installed by them still smells like burning cat piss (to people who don't know that is what burnt transmission fluid smells like) and doesn't down shift properly. Plus when I got it back they didn't tighten up the exhaust system on it so it ran terrible and was extremely loud. They also didn't tighten/adjust a cable. And when we told them about the few problems on the latest transmission, they told us "well now you are just nitpicking." Never again. Never recommend. There is a reason why they are financially in trouble.

Transmission shifted fine so far. Employees are always friendly on the phone. Unfortunately prices keep going up and warranty keeps going down. If your pickup isn't a coffee truck only, you will have to pay big bucks to upgrade to an hd. Will my shop order again, possibly, but not our go to anymore.

I didn't actually go there but had parts set out for our parts runner. The vehicle I was working on was a early 80's oldsmobile that I was not having good luck finding parts for. The person I talked to was very helpful and knowledgeable. All the parts I needed were correct and in the right quantity. I am very pleased and would highly recommend!
