Staff is immensely helpful! I had a big project I was gathering supplies for and every staff member was happy to point me in the right direction for each item! Even when I wasn't sure if I had everything, a few staff members helped me go through what I should have! Seriously so helpful!

Went today July 5th to get some block. Lenna at the guard post was very unfriendly! We showed her the paper and she asked us 4xs if we knew where we were going. All 4xs we said yes. We asked her 4xs if she would send someone with a fork lift as we were getting a palette of block. She just ignored us. Finally, we said it louder. She asked again if we knew where we were going. Again we said yes but we needed a forklift. Very snottily she said what are you getting I didn't even look at it. We said block. Guess what, there wasn't any forklift we had to go find one ourselves. One forklift driver was on a phone call, we had to honk to get him to move out of the way so we could get by. He could of easily came to help us. Not impressed. I'm thinking it might be the ear buds!!

Why in the world would a store totally empty their shelves of a product for a special order? That is exactly what Fort Dodge Menards did with their Harvey no-seep no1 standard wax ring. Wouldn't it have been smarter to leave a few on your shelves for other customers to get. If there was a Lowes or Home Depot in town I would quit Menards. Don't tell me to contact manager because they don't care and won't do anything.

Contractor here. Customer picked up 4 windows at Menards in Des Moines, turns out they gave him the wrong size even though I had pre-ordered them.
So tried to return them to the Fort Dodge location. Manager there said she wouldn't return them as it would mess up her inventory. There were not special order.
So now making a trip to DM for return.
Not happy.

My parents bought a glider swing set from their place. I spent one whole afternoon putting together. Got to the point to hang it and the hangers were not included in kit. Parents went back to menards to get parts and were told all kits were sold out. I think it was pretty shifty that a full refund was not offered at the time or the store would not offer to supplement the parts. I will be going some place else to do business next time as the soccer the old.
