I now am the proud and pleased owner of two Ridge View Labradors. I have been very happy with my interactions with Donna Reece (owner) and the healthy, beautiful, well trained, and fabulous temperament of the dogs she produces. She takes her responsibility to this breed seriously and I’m fortunate to have been chosen to provide a family environment for 2 young adults purchased from this breeder. I even drove from California to Iowa TWICE to pick up my dogs! I enthusiastically rate Ridge View Labradors as a 5 star kennel!

I worked here for a while and thoroughly seen how much the owners care about the dogs and how much effort they put into breeding and raising quality hunting, companion, and service dog prospects.

Great family companions, I have 4 Ridgeview labs, and every one is hard working, with a great off switch. I highly recommend Ridge View Labs.

we dealt with Miranda. There was poor communication from day one. I tried to let Donna know and never heard back. Our boy Buckeye was supposed to be a star puppy with training from Miranda personally but wouldn't know it. Don't get me wrong love him but our lab from a local breeder much calmer and easier to train.

Ridgeview and Lisamarie Warne have changed our lives in a more meaningful way than words can describe. Our son has Tourette Syndrome (TS) and starting during the summer of 2020, he began having multi-hour, nightly tic attacks that left him unable to clearly communicate or be in control of his body. Unfortunately, there is no cure for TS and no medication that directly addresses the condition or even the underlying comorbids associated with the condition. Desperate, I spent every night researching possible options for ways we could help him… and I kept coming back to the fact that dogs are proven to help many with neurological disorders. The problem was that neither my husband or I had ever owned a dog and the concept seemed daunting. Nevertheless, I began to investigate and quickly realized that a Labrador Retriever was the clear answer. I put out my call for help to many of the “Facebook moms groups” and was private messaged by someone who told me about Ridgeview. She shared her own experience with Ridgeview and Lisamarie and I was blown away. I immediately completed the online application and started following Ridgeview and Lisamarie on social media. Within a few hours, I fell in love with a puppy whose picture Lisamarie had just posted. Within a day, we spoke and as I shared my story and she shared more information about this incredible breeder and this incredible puppy, I felt like it was too good to be true. To learn that Ridgeview specializes and is an expert in dogs who often go on to become service dogs or support dogs was a dream. And then to learn that this puppy had been going through the Amazing Puppy Program and was already trained! It started to feel like it was meant to be. Bristow (formerly known as Waffles) was the perfect temperament for our needs. The only challenge was that Lisamarie was in California and we were in NY and well….COVID…. it was fortuitous that Lisamarie was planning a trip to Ridgeview in Iowa and so, we decided to take a 2 day roadtrip so that we could get our wonder-pup! Bristow has been such an amazing addition to our family. We all adore her and my kids agree that she is now my favorite child. She has turned into an emotional support dog for ALL OF US! And while she doesn’t prevent our son from going into the tic attacks, she keeps him calm and safe when he is in that state. No matter where she is in the house, she can sense when he needs her and goes running to him. If he is tic-ing and up on his knees, she puts her paws on his shoulders to gently guide him to the floor. As long as she is near him, he is serene and not in danger of hurting himself accidently. Lisamarie has been an amazing resource for us since we really had no idea what we were doing. She has been patient and kind and caring and the best trainer a family and puppy could. Ask for. We are so grateful to Ridgeview, Lisamarie and Bristow for coming into our lives and becoming a part of our family!!!! Now we joke about how long we need to wait to bring home another Ridgeview puppy so that Bristow has a playmate!

We picked up Penny (now Saylor) from Ridge View about 2 years ago. She has the sweetest temperament of any lab I have ever had. Her trainer (sorry, her name slips my mind right now) did a really great job with her! Saylor has blossomed into a young precious adult that never leaves our side. The 13 hour trip from Ohio was definitely worth it. THANK YOU AGAIN Ridge View Labs!!!

Our daughter had a terrible experience which began February this year, before COVID19. She was looking for a service dog and after research into many breeds and breeders, decided she wanted a black female sired by Olaf with Songbird. We paid the $500 deposit and eagerly waited since Olaf was their “top producing dog for service prospects.” In March she got the email sadly stating Songbird only had 3 yellow pups. They told her they'd move the deposit to another litter, and she was told about a litter due that same week. My daughter specifically wanted a pup sired by Olaf, since he had a proven track record for service prospects and that was the main reason for using this breeder. My daughter was still hopeful for Olaf, but was then told they didn’t have another “breeding plan” for him and was sent links for yet another pair. This was awful news, and the attitude in the email exchanges with Kristie began to change. Even though she was willing to wait, our daughter was frustrated by getting the runaround and we began to distrust this breeder. We made a deposit in “good faith" expecting a pup sired by Olaf. At that time, the return policy (which used to be on the site) stated if they couldn't produce the pup she wanted by the end of 6 months, she would receive her deposit back. They didn’t honor this. The emails stopped when our daughter asked for the deposit back. Now, we are out $500, and on top of that had to look elsewhere for a reputable breeder. We found one and learned something. Not once did these guys ask questions about us to find out whether we would provide a good home for the pup. They took our deposit and that was it. Buyer Beware! I would not trust these guys.

The review by Tammy G could have been written by me. We had the exact same thing happen to us February 2020. I specifically wrote in my application that I wanted a particular sire. They knew it. They couldn't produce it and wouldn't give me my deposit back. I had given it to them on a credit card so I wrote the credit card company and got it back. They used to be top notch breeders. We have several of their dogs in our family. I have a 12 year old from them. They have gotten too big and arrogant. We only worked with with Kristie. I'm sorry to say she was not honest about the whole process.

We recently adopted a dog from Ridgeview Labs. The dog is great, but when we got home and had our vet give him a wellness check the dog had a severe yeast infection in both ears and we are waiting for possible skin alergy diagnosis. I called Ridgeview, Ohio two weeks ago and have not heard a word back. I wasn't asking for any money I just wanted to let them know. I am also very disappointed with the training. I paid an additional $900 for the Extended Training and our dog has never heard 85% of the commands on the printout sheet they gave us. I would still recommend them for a dog, but I would not waste your money on the training or lack of it. I searched everywhere for dogs in the 5 month old range and they were the only place I could find. We came from Massachusetts to Ohio.
