I made a reservation 3 days ahead of time and was reassured by the owner that a truck would be ready and waiting for me. When I went to pick up the truck, it was still buried in snow from a snowfall 4 days before. Even the entrance to the building had 2 feet of snow in front of it, with a set of footprints acting like a mountain pass. All i needed was a sherpa. After climbing over the deep piles of snow, filling my Adidas running shoes up with snow and finally getting inside, I was told by the owner's inexperienced sister that I had to go home and get a shovel to dig it out, to which her brother graciously offered me $40 cash for my trouble (but i would have to drive to Dubuque to get the money). 30 minutes of digging later, it was still stuck, and they proudly informed me that a plow truck was just leaving Dubuque to come and clear it out. Irritated and in a state of sheer disbelief, I left to have a delicious breakfast from the amazing Dyersville Family Restaurant and run some local errands. I returned 90 minutes later to find a plow truck was there but was sitting empty, and no snow had been moved from the truck.3 1/2 hours after the sheduled 9am pick up, I still had no truck, my patience had run out, so I finally canceled the reservation. If they can't even clear snow from the lot that their vehicles are on, I can't imagine how well they run a used car dealership. No, I take that back, I CAN imagine how well they run a used car dealership.
