My wife and I were purchasing a car from Buick Richardson in dubuque iowa. She test drove car ,she wanted it went to bank, next morning was approved. Went to dealership next morning, they sold the car overnight. The salesman had the keys put car in back and a fellow salesman sold it on him.If that is the kind of people you have working for you,I will never step on your lot again.Have been buying cars there for years.

My wife had a 10am appointment this morning for an oil change and look at tire that was out of balance. 2 hours later, they haven't even looked at the car. They didn't even tell her there is a delay. I STRESS SHE HAD AN APPOINMENT. I have NEVER heard of this in the 40 years I have been driving. She has a 2016 Pilot Elite and we are going to trade it in for a new vehicle. Since she was there killing 2 unnecessary hours, she walked around lot looking. Not one person came out to answer questions or show her vehicles. Guess where we will NOT be looking for a new vehicle. Richardson Motors! THEY SUCK. THEY ARE THE WORST IN DUBUQUE IF NOT IN THE STATE OF IOWA.

I bought my car here and the experience was wonderful. Special shoutout to Sam Weber who was there to help me from start to end. He knew I was traveling from out of town to pick up my new car here in Iowa and he made it a very smooth and stress-free process. I was able to get my plates from my state and travel back with no worries. What I liked the most was that they had no hidden fees or markups and they were an honest team to do business with.

Smooth and fast transactional experience for a vehicle at a fair price. Dan Goroski (sales) was great and very easy to work with; he kept the process moving. Excellent communication throughout the entire process, including a follow up call a week later to ensure all was going well. I look forward to working with Dan and Richardson Motors again in the future.

We are a 6+ time repeat customer at Richardson's. Our sales person Tim Eppler is super friendly, gives great customer service, and knows all the details on vehicles he's selling! He explained every feature that my vehicle has and made sure I knew how to use them. I really appreciate his above and beyond help to have my new vehicle set up with personal favorites with my phone, audio, seats, and mirrors before I left the parking lot. It's always a pleasure to work with Tim and the Richardson staff.

I was involved in a vehicle accident in November 11, 2022 and recommended to go to Richardson body shop by my local insurance rep. I reached out to Richardson the day after my accident for a quote and asked if I would be able to use a loaner car while my vehicle was being repaired and told that would not be a problem. My appointment for the quote was scheduled for the following week (on November 15) and I was informed the parts for my car would be ordered, and once received I could bring my vehicle in for repairs. I again shared my need for a loaner car.About a month went by with no contact on status update so I called and spoke with the body shop manager, Andy, who shared that most of the parts were in but there was a long waitlist for loaner cars so it would likely be another 3 weeks until I could drop my vehicle off. Another 2 weeks went by without any update so I called and again spoke with Andy who let me schedule a day to drop my car off and pick up the loaner.I dropped my car off on January 17, 2023 -- 9 weeks after my quote. I was told that my vehicle would take around 9 days for repair.I called to check on the status of my vehicle on February 1 (11 work days after dropping my vehicle off) and Andy shared that, once they took things apart on my car, it was realized that there was additional damage and more parts had to be ordered, so it would be a few more days. I understand that this is normal when it comes to body work, so said no problem. I asked Andy if he could call me if there were to be any additional delays as I felt like I was the one making all of the contact, at which he responded that he's 'on the phone with at least 30 people a day checking on their cars so it's not a problem that I keep calling.' Definitely not something a customer wants to hear. Finally on February 9th (17 work days after dropping my car off) I was called and told that my vehicle was ready to be picked up.My hope is that Richardson will take this review and similar reviews geared toward Andy's lack of customer service skills seriously and discuss the importance of good customer service to the Andy as my experience working with him was terrible - to the point that I've shared my experience with my local insurance agent, who will no longer be recommending Richardson's body shop to their current customers. My experience with Emily (body shop customer service) was great and my vehicle looks brand new, so this review is truly pointed at Andy.

Brandon was awesome. My vehicle was totaled so we came with no trade in. We wanted to go local and a place we have been before. This was our first experience with Brandon. He was engaged in the wait and would follow up with our questions. They provided us a loaner for about 2 weeks and stoped off and picked up cars with gas tanks full and to my surprise very nice cars. He even came in on time off to swap a car. He went above and beyond in our books! And we gratefully appreciate it!

The person I worked with on 12/2 I believe MJ was wonderful! Friendly, Professional and Helpful. He is the only reason I am giving the dealership 3 stars instead of 1 or 2.The problem is I had scheduled my appointment through the GM rewards website for 12/01/22. I received reminder emails, an email saying a Lance Miller would be in touch with me and the week of my appointment I received daily texts leading up to my 12/01 appointment confirming the date and time. I arrive on 12/01 to be told by service staff that I don’t have an appointment scheduled and asked to show them the texts and emails proving I had an appointment. I was then told that booking through the GM rewards website doesn’t link up to your scheduling system and has been a problem before. Why is that booking option available if it is not working properly? I was told I would need to schedule a new appointment as they couldn’t service my car that day. If I had taken a day off of work to show up and find out I didn’t have an appointment according to your service department, especially after receiving numerous confirmation correspondences, I would have been even more upset. For this reason and the lack of consideration the staff expressed on 12/01 when I supposedly didn’t have an appointment in your system, I would not recommend this dealership. It was a terrible first impression of how you handle customer service.Update: in response to your reach out to us we would like to hear from you standard response, I have emailed Lance Miller directly a week ago and have received no response so maybe you could start by following up within your own company

Dropped our car off Oct 3rd and didn’t get it back from the body shop until December. They didn’t fix our front panel, it was still held on by zip ties WE put on until we “got it fixed”. I called at least once a week and Andy kept changing the expected pick up date, to the extent of the originally stated 2 weeks to 2 months. We had to go in and nag to even get a courtesy car a month after the original date they stated our car would be done. They didn’t even do the basic oil change or cleaning expected when dropping a car off to be repaired. Will never go back, and I hate that I’m paying off a car there still because their service doesn’t deserve a dime, don’t waste your time with the body shop at this Dubuque location.

called the service department because they didn't remove a recall on the vehicle after completing it. Took 4 transfers to actually get to a service person. Told him the situation. Said he needed some VIN numbers....told him I was at work and didn't have them. Asked him if they did service tickets for work done from other dealers. He replied that they get "thousands of them, thousands of them". He was very condescending and put off. I'm impressed if they are getting "thousands and thousands" of them in less than a weeks time. Actually, if they had actually removed it like they should have I wouldn't even have called in the first place. Won't be doing any business there...

Hey um... could someone please direct me on how to contact the owner? Having a lot of issues. The current issue is that my stereo has become faulty which is covered under the warranty. I got my vehicle back and the stereo still wasn't working only then my lane change camera also didn't work. I brought it back and after the weekend, car in the dealership, was called up yesterday and told they want me to pay for the lane change camera repair, but the man on the phone also explained that it was simply a plug unplugged. I attempted to explain to him that this issue occurred in their care while doing a warranty repair and I don't understand why they want me to pay for something like that and the guy hung up on me.One other thing, the warranty is supposed to cover a loaner vehicle if my car is in the shop for a warranty reason for more than 24 hours. Why are you guys providing every argument NOT to do that, but instead offering to drive me around? $5,000 warranty.

Best car experience I’ve ever had and Sam was excellent with his communication right from the start. He took a video of the car and sent it to me, and kept in touch. So nice, not pushy and was able to answer all of my questions.

After totaling my beloved 2007 Nissan Titan I was on the hunt for a replacement Titan - a truck with less than 80,000 miles on it but within my budget. This would mean looking for a truck 7+ years old but with very low mileage. As my choices here in St. Louis were slim, I started searching online for a vehicle within 500 miles. I found quite a few but their Carfax reports hinted at less than desirable issues. I also found a few that seemed ideal but the dealerships were not to keen on having the truck brought to a local, reputable, mechanic to have the vehicle inspected bumper to bumper, under the hood, and on the road by an outside party. Most of them refused because the truck was "priced to sell" and "wouldn't last long". Some even argued that it was pointless to bring it to an outside mechanic as the dealership had their own mechanics. Ha...nice try. Enter Richardson Motors in Dubuque, IA... From the moment I spoke with Mitch, one of their "internet sales specialists", he was courteous, professional, and quite honestly...honest. We talked about the vehicle - a 2013 Nissan Titan SL - discussed price for a bit then I asked him to walk around the truck and inform me of anything he thought I might raise an eyebrow should I decide to purchase the truck sight unseen (except for a few pictures on their website) and have it shipped to me in St. Louis. He inspected the truck then called me back and gave me a vivid assessment of things I might find concerning. Next, I asked if he'd be willing to drop the ruck off at a local mechanic for inspection and he did exactly that within an hour of me asking! Well, the mechanic's report was thorough and overall very positive. He did tell me that there were some bulbs burned out, the wipers were worn, and a few other very minor issues. Once I was satisfied with the vehicle I dealt with their business manager, Vern, to further negotiate a price as well as compensation for the minor issues found by the mechanic. We quickly came to an agreeable price and they mailed me paperwork, overnight, with an enclosed overnight return envelope. This process was a little rocky as it took a few days to actually get the paperwork sent out on their end, but its nothing that would take away from my 5 star review. We were all navigating somewhat unchartered waters as not many people buy a vehicle in the fashion that I was doing and they, as nice as they are, don't need to waste time on a could-be buyer that may or may not actually buy the vehicle. Once my $$ was in their hands we had the paperwork completed, the truck shipped, and delivered within 24 hours. There were a few other ways this team, especially Mitch, went above and beyond to facilitate this oddball car purchase but this review is already turning in to a novel. In the end...I'm a very satisfied customer and I sincerely hope to give this dealership my business again in the future.

By far the worst experience with getting my car repaired. Been nearly 3 weeks with little contact on the status, they did give me a loaner car but the communication and run around of not knowing what was happening is unacceptable. One solid week of both my husband and I trying to contact the service manager with no response. We had the best experience with Branden, our salesman but the service department is another story.

I am sad to write this as the people were decent but I will say the vehicle that was supposedly gone through and top notch falls way short. I bought a 2019 Chevy flatbed with 56000 miles on it for business and I'm out of state. I needed this truck to perform as I am needing it for our new business and as soon literally as we put it into service it has failed literally every day it's been on road. Keep in mind they did try to pay me off by sending me $600 for the brakes that were complete junk, trans filter rusted through and spraying everywhere, cv joint bad, ball joints so frozen from lack of care when turn steering wheel it would lock on you and the BIGGEST PROBLEM A ELECTRICAL NIGHTMARE CAUSING THE TRUCK TO MALFUNCTION EVERY DAY ITS ON THE ROAD. I have pictures and documentation and as I know it was used which I never buy I Trusted them. I'm sure me being out of state not being able to see it was my fault but you need to trust someone
