2400 Gateway Dr, DubuqueA few days before leaving the country for a wedding, our dog, Hank got a corneal ulcer. Our regular vet was very adamant that he needed to be checked while we were gone to ensure that his eye was healing properly because he could have been at risk of losing his eye if things went wrong.
I was panicked, and our dog was staying with my parents in Dubuque while we were gone. Even with last minute notice, PetMed was able to come to their house - which saved my parents + Hank the stress of having to take him in, and on top of that they were great! My mom said they were quick + efficient, and super friendly. They were extremely kind to work with, and I am so grateful they were able to help us out!

2262 Flint Hill Dr, DubuqueI would ABSOLUTELY refer people to Key West Animal Clinic. I have nothing but a great experience here. Dr. Kim is a very compassionate and competent veterinarian. You can tell she loves her job and cares about the health and well-being of her animal patients. She takes the time to explain things in "normal terms" that the average person can understand. And she answers ALL of your questions no matter how silly they might seem. She doesn't rush through the appointment. She takes time to make sure all the "i's" are dotted and the "t's" are crossed. My dog Duke was rescued from the shelter and has bad anxiety. I expressed my concern about keeping him in a cage. She took my concerns seriously and when I came to pick him up after a short afternoon stay...he was lounging in her office waiting on me. Not in a cage. I really appreciated that. She absolutely took into consideration the well-being of my dog.

Both of my dogs went to their training programs, one for two weeks and one for one week. My bernedoodle who was scared of everyone and would not follow a single command has really come out of her shell and even sits for a treat now! 1085 Washington St, DubuqueFast service, good drinks, and good tasting food. I'd recommend stopping here for your city brewery experience. We were surprised the burgers were kind of 'plain' for the price. The Genesis burger was good but it's just a burger patty, two pieces of bacon, and a mix of sauce on a simple bun, for $18 with fries.
We didn't have the opportunity to taste any beer because we drove through and this was our dinner stop but the Brown Cow drink and one of the mocktails were very good.
Kid-friendliness: Highchair, milk, and standard children's menu. There are games in the back for older children.

180 Main St, DubuqueWent to The Lift to listen to my son's band, Rafterbat. The atmosphere was cozy, dark, basement vibes with lots of visual appeal and interesting nooks and crannies to hang out in with pool and darts available. The people were chill, and bartender knew his stuff. He saved my ass by mailing me my forgotten debit card. Def check out this place for their amazing live music!
