My wife and I purchased a 2023 Hyundai Tuscon LimitedWe had a great experience with McGrath Hyundai of Dubuque. Richard Herrig was my salesman - he was very easy to work with in all aspects of the car buying experience- he took over an hour just explaining all features of the car. we able to meet Devin the General Mgr, Ryan the sales mgr and Jason in finance . Our experience with this dealership was very professional in all depts.- We would highly recommend any one looking for a professional dealership to call McGrath and ask for Richard Herrig. We will definite call McGrath the next time we are looking for a car.

We had a great experience at McGrath Hyundai Dubuque. We worked with George who was exceptional and full of knowledge. Ryan and the rest of the staff were also friendly and very accommodating. We never felt pressured and text messages and phone calls were always returned promptly. Shout out to George and the rest of the staff for a fun experience in buying our new Palisade!

I had a great experience overall with everyone involved in the purchase of my new vehicle! During our new vehicle search I estimate I talked with close to 20 dealerships and McGrath was one of the most positive exchanges. HOWEVER I have to deduct 1-star because the vehicle was listed to include a tow package, but in fact it did not. The window sticker wasn't available during my inquiry so all I had to go on was the listing. I wasn't made aware of the missing tow package until I ASKED about it when the window sticker finally became available two weeks prior to delivery and well after putting my deposit down. I did not get an apology about this costly oversight nor a price reduction. Instead I was offered the opportunity to get my deposit back and let the next person in line have the vehicle. They had a tow hitch in stock but would be an additional cost. This was disappointing as I paid MSRP for the vehicle. This particular vehicle is in high-demand and short supply and they knew it. I only caution any potential customer of McGrath to carefully review the options included in the vehicle before purchase.

McGrath was Great! I was in the 3 hours from home in the Dubuque area for work and my car broke down. Gil From Service came out right away and got my repair started. He nice enough to have me taken to two different rental car places because the first one didn't have a car for me. My car was done the next day and they picked me up from the rental place! How can you beat that, fast, friendly, professional, and well priced service. If I am ever in that area again and in need I will go back no questions asked!

My experience at McGrath Hyundai, was one of the most relaxing experiences I've ever had in buying a car. I was represented by Tony, who was one of the kindest guys I've ever met. Trevor kept me very informed, and remained transparent through the entire process.Clayton was so humble wrapped up my financing with great conversation and extended warranty information . We had a great experience buying our new Hyundai Tucson this week! Our salesman, Rick Herrig, is exceptional! He knows cars, and treated us with respect and kindness beyond our expectations! Jackson in finance explained the warranty and finance piece thoroughly ensuring we understood each step and were comfortable! We left with a beautiful new Tucson and a cake! Rick’s personal touch for all his customers! I highly recommend the entire team at McGrath Hyundai!!

This was my first time buying a vehicle from a dealership. I cannot thank John and Don enough for the experience they gave me. John did a great job of making the process quick with no hassling. He is extremely informative when it comes to Hyundai's. Don did a wonderful job explaining the financing process and explaining the ins and outs of the warranties. McGrath Hyundai is an excellent company that have good hearted honest people working for them. I cannot recommend them more!

After a few not-so-good experiences at my local car dealerships, I stumbled across McGrath and thought I’d give them a shot. John, Ryan, and Jackson made buying our new vehicle a breeze! They heard my concerns with past dealerships and went above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience. They were fast, friendly, respectful, and very knowledgeable. I will absolutely recommend them to all of our friends and family in our area. Totally worth the 2 hour drive!Hannah & Richard

The entire team at McGrath Hyundai in Dubuque were amazing to work with. From the moment we contacted them VIA website they were great. You felt like a part of the team the entire time you were inside the dealership as every person walked by said hi and were friendly. Offered us lunch while we waited. Made sure we understood everything and seemed as though they genuinely cared about you as a person and not just a Sale! Great working with George and his team, keep up the good work and we will most likely drive the 100 miles when we’re ready to upgrade.

Alex and Ernest made ordering and purchasing of a new Hyundai Palisade Calligraphy very simple, we did it all thru text. I live up in the Twin City area and have driven 300 miles one way twice now to purchase from McGrath. Honest dealership with an exceptionable experience.

I purchased a vehicle with a trade in from this dealership. The showing of the vehicle went smoothly, and I have no complaints regarding that. The paperwork and overall customer service aspect is where I believe this dealership fell short.We went through the paperwork and were ready to finalize the sale. I didn't like the interest rate I was shown, and decided I wanted a second opinion before committing to the sale. They pressured me relentlessly to just take the deal. I decided to sit on it overnight and return the following afternoon.The next day, I found out they had entered the trade at the lowest trade in valuation for the range I was shown. This was not what we had previously agreed upon, and I requested the higher value. They went to talk with the manager and came back saying that the trade in value had been "entered incorrectly" and proceeded to give me the higher trade in value.We then proceeded to talk about warranties (favorite activity). They quoted me all kinds of different maintenance plans and wrap options. They were again relentless in trying to convince me that it was a good idea to have them to the point of being rude. I agreed to a wrap and PMA on the first car I ever bought. Ultimately, that was a very bad deal for me at the time. However, they can make sense depending on your preferences and financial situation.Overall, I am happy with the vehicle I purchased, but the dealership customer service wasn't good. Some employees treated you very well. Others made you feel like you were in the wrong. I believe this customer service in combination with unsavory tactics in attempt to increase profit warrant a two-star rating for this dealership.Some key takeaways for any dealership:Take a second key so you can leave when you want.Never answer what monthly payment you are looking for because they will extend your loan term, try to put you in a more expensive vehicle, and add on warranties.Hold your ground while in arguments. If you don't like some aspect of a deal, ask to have it rewritten in your favor.Take your time while reading through paperwork. This is extremely important.You must be prepared to walk away. This is your most valuable bargaining chip with the dealership. Never tell a dealership you need a vehicle quickly.

I had my 2011 Sonata taken in for a new Engine to be installed. Kaylee was amazing at communicating back and forth with updates regarding the new engine install. She patiently and competently answered any question I had during this process. The work was done in a timely manner and my car is back with me and running well.
