I'm new to the area so I had called to see if they were open and had said that I would be there soon for food help after I got my kids dressed. When I got there I was treated like crap for having no choice but to bring my kids with me. The lady at the desk made me feel very small and upset that I couldn't get someone to watch my kids. I was so upset when I left there. I will never go back to this place and I hope no one with children will

I gave this place 4 stars in support of SOME of the Amazing Staff that worked here. I previously relocated to Dubuque and even though I have A Full-time job . I sometimes need to sign up for donations! There is a guy by the name of Todd that works there and a few other volunteers that are always friendly and caring they go above. Always makes you feel welcomed and not judged! It's been about 2 months since I stopped in , so after contacting Hacap getting all signed up I drove down to White st. And there upon arrival I ran into a lady by the name of Theresa. Let's just say in my opinion I have Never Ever! In my life have met someone with her position working with people in need Act in such a Rudley Manner !! This lady needs to be replaced this is not the job for her. I gave 4 Stars because I'm not going to have one person ruin it for everyone else .

The waiting area is small. You have to wait outside when the waiting area is full, which doesn't take much. The staff were very kind and helpful.

What a great experience. So many caring and helpful people. My daughter and I just love the ladies that helped us through the place. It's like a nice little, well stocked grocery store. Even the community members that utilize this place are always friendly and helpful. I've been saving boxes to take down and donate and plan to volunteer. Great organization!!

Updated design and service. Kind people and much appreciated food. They grow some vegetables and there is apparently no limit on the produce you can choose. Will definitely go again.
