Won’t let you return a sealed in box, no damage, with receipt, after 28 days. Tried to talk me into paying a $50 membership fee to get 60% of a return back? Weird place, just look at you blankly.

I recently received great service from the Dubuque, IA Best Buy. A special mention to these 3 who gave ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ service:
Geek Squad Logan & Layne and Jax in computer sales. Very happy with service & sales.

Be prepared to wait around for anyone to help you if you cant find what you are looking for. But when they do get around, they are nice.

Couldn't find a single associate to wait on me. No one seemed to want to make a sale so I bought somewhere else

Always find what I'm looking for and there's always somebody close by to help you if you are in need of it.

Best Buy is like being at a car dealership if you don’t know what you’re talking about you will feel prayed on and told what you needed by the sales associates. Sales associate dismissed the brand we wanted and our concerns with it and immediately told us what we should buy, and then show us laptops way out of our budget to make his commission. We completed the sale with a different associate and he was wonderful.

Turned in my pc to have it scanned for errors and for the drives to be wiped hoping to solve an issue. Kept hold of it for three days. I come pick it up and bring it home to find the same issues occurring even after all their “tests” done. I come back to another representative and he tells me it’s most likely a drive failing, and that he isn’t sure how it wasn’t spotted the first time I brought it through. Now it’s been kept another three days and I came to check and see because I was told they would do just a drive swap and a couple more tests. Came back again today to them saying they haven’t gotten around to it and that it may be a different part failing after more “tests” were done.
So confusingly frustrating.
You can’t call anyone who works in the store, only an overseas worker in a call center. Who doesn’t have the ability to transfer you to someone in store.

Go to Target or Walmart for computer items, their return/exchange policy are at least 30 days which you would have to pay for at Best Buy, and go to Great Sounds Audio Video for other electronics, I'm sure they would be willing to work with a customer to keep their business.
I was sold A defective ACER monitor with pretty poor customer service in helping me resolve the issue other than trying to upsell me on membership and telling me to contact the manufacturer. I don't expect the rules to be changed for me however a little bit of leeway would go a long way. Within 3 weeks a few pixels had died and while shortly outside of their standard 15 day return window, I have worked retail before and I know most retail locations do have the ability to return items to the manufacturers as defective, especially on such a short turnaround which they did not deny. I was even willing to buy a more expensive better quality monitor to just be done with it. However when I was being told my options, basically spend 50 bucks to extend the return window (and then spend at least 50 more for a better model) I asked if i could cancel the membership after the return and refund my 50, essentially just let me return the defective model and I will still be paying the store more money for a better product at the end of the transaction. The manager said "Definitely not after hearing that" which to me implied she thought I was trying to scam them or something. They didn't even plug the monitor in to see the issue. She did suggest contacting the manufacturer and that they may just give me a RA to send back from the store and she did take my number to see if there is anything they could do but It felt more like give me your number so you can leave - also after calling ACER support they said this isn't true, so that's cool. Pretty disappointed, it's really a small monetary issue in the grand scale and a legitimately broken product with a customer that wants to give you more money for a better product, probably will not be heading back to this location and just ordering online or shop other places for electronics from here on out unless I need to.

Best Buy is one of those places that have all of the things you can't afford or have to bring back because it's broken or defected. I walk this store looking for a great deal. They do have some sales, but most of the time, it's full price. Love geek squad very helpful. This store is always clean and well kept. I'm pretty sure you could find what you're looking for elsewhere for cheaper cost. But it's an ok store.

They are a bit understaffed from what I could see, but the staff they have were very nice and helpful to me. They did not have the laptop I wanted in stock even though it was on display, so I was not able to purchase exactly what I wanted.
