Want to get your item's stolen then keep them here. No fences, gates, cameras or security of any kind. At least on the Tanzenite location. Was personally told by DBQ pd this was probably the most reported place for having units broken in by thieves.

worst storage facility around the dubuque and tri state area if you want to deal with snobs and tricks and crackheads that break into units and take your stuff while the office doesnt care. come on down to alts storage

I stored an enclosed construction trailer here for about a month. Paid 2 months in advance. Barely into the 2nd month, my trailer was broken into, they stole some tools. Called the sheriff. He informs me they get at least one call every month involving break ins at Alts. They have cameras, but they don't work. Naturally, I moved my trailer. I go into Executive Management's office to get my final months rent and deposit back. I'm met with complete apathy after explaining what happened from a snotty woman who can only repeat "you have to give 15 days notice" and "you're liable for last month". So if you want to pay cold hearted apathetic people to have your property stolen, take it to Alt's Mini Storage. I feel sorry for anyone who has to deal with Executive Management in any way shape or form. I would give negative stars if possible.

Lots of sizes & office is friendly. I got my deposit back in full both times I rented. I liked the new set office hours so I knew when I could reach them.

I rented a 10x10 unit for nearly 3 years. While this place may be affordable when compared to the monthly fees of other storage facilities, there are a lot of drawbacks. The mice and stink bugs that infested my unit were almost enjoyable when compared to the condescending, snotty, arrogant ladies at 'executive management' that you're forced to deal with in order to rent here. There is no Alt, no owner, or manager. Just these women who operate out of a beautifully restored old downtown Dbq house. But their beautiful setting belies their attitude. These people somehow always seem to exemplify the disparity between the 'haves' and the 'have nots' that plagues Dubuque. If you don't mind dealing with cold and unfriendly people, being required to give a 'two week notice', and waiting over a month for your deposit to be returned, I totally recommend this place.

I have used twice. I like the office hours and I can always get an answer. I had a large 40 unit and a smaller 10X10 unit. they have all sizes.
