Process is very slow for moving an entire home because Zippy doesn’t bring multiple trucks/pods. They fill up one and then have to go drop it off, load another empty one and return. They ran out of time and so rushed to cram everything in at the end of their shift. We have had a claim in for damaged materials for 8 months and still not one person has returned our calls or emails about it. Movers in Omaha accidentally tipped over a dolly, dropping boxes onto the concrete driveway and shattering dishes right in front of us. Ripped our leather couch, damaged the majority of our chairs to our dinning table wedging them against the steel pod, damaged piano, concrete top for media center, and fridge. All photos were sent with claim and not one response or apology to date. Was hoping this would be an affordable and helpful option for myself and the many people that work for our company and are moved around the US constantly, but was very disappointed.

Communication wasn't the best on Zippy's end. We moved from CA to Iowa. A few hiccups with the timing on the CA end, but guys who assisted me in the unloading of the shells, James and Robert were very helpful and courteous with getting settled in.

My daughters shell was picked up todaywith no notice and she still has moving boxes and a bed to add. No one is returning her calls for help with this. She will be delayed from starting her new job because of this company.

All of my fragile stuff was handled with the utmost care and moving blankets weren't used sparingly... they made sure everything arrived safe, on time, and they went over the top to ensure I had an exceptional experience. Thank you Michael and Todd.

If I could give zero stars I would. They will add on charges multiple times, and if they tell you your items will fit in one or two pods, do not believe them. Only half of my items from a one bedroom apartment fit into a pod. My parents rented two for their three bedroom house and could not fit multiple furniture items in them. The movers did not show up with a lock for my move or my parents move, so our items were unsecured for WEEKS. When I called to complain the day the movers at my origination location arrived I was told the keys would go with the lock that they would put on when they arrived. When it arrived at my destination location, there was no lock on the pod. My stuff was 100% unsecured sitting in a warehouse where any employee could get to it for 4 weeks. My stuff was also delayed by two weeks, and during that time gas prices went up, so they charged me an additional $120. Then when my stuff was finally delivered two weeks late, they tried to charge me an additional $150 for the address being far from the warehouse, even though the address never changed. I have almost $300 in damage of items as well, which means so far on top of the $4,330 moving fee and $189 storage fee, I've paid an additional $570 in damages all caused by the company. I've filed a complaint with the BBB and a fraud charge with my bank because I explicitly told the customer service representative that they did not have permission to charge my card for the additional $150 mistake that their employees made.RUN. Far and fast! Whatever you do, don't use Zippyshell.

Zippy Shell is the worst company to choose for moving! Do not choose this company! We have recently moved from Des Moines, IA to Phoenix, AZ and decided to choose Zippy Shell as the company to help us with this long distance move. We packed all of our belongings into a pod and it was picked up on 6/12/20. We were told that 6/26/20 would be the latest it would arrive in Phoenix. At that point, we thought that waiting until the 26th to have our things delivered was too long of a wait. Unfortunately, we were wrong and our belongings did not arrive at the Phoenix destination facility until 6/30. Zippy Shell never told us that our stuff made it to Phoenix. Instead, we had to call to figure this out. During that call, we were given the opportunity to request delivery days for our pod to be brought to our house. However, we had to give the destination facility a 48hr notice (for unclear reasons). So it seemed that we would be without our belongings for another 2 days. Wrong again! We received an email shortly after that stating that the earliest availability to have our belongings delivered from the Phoenix facility to our house (Also in Phoenix) was July 14-16th. Another two weeks away! We were told we could rent a UHaul and go to the warehouse and pick up our things instead (again giving the warehouse a 48hr notice). Despite all of this, Zippy Shell has refused to offer any sort of adequate compensation (such as paying for the UHaul, etc.)When it comes time for a move, DO NOT choose this company.

BEWARE! DO NOT BOOK WITH THESE PEOPLE!I scheduled a long distance move with Zippy Shell and my unit was supposed to be delivered today. At 3 pm, I contacted customer support to inquire about the delivery time. Their representative informed me that there wasn't a pod available in my area and that the local franchise had no record of my move. They refused to transfer me to upper management and every time I called their 800 number, I was routed to ONE person. ONE PERSON FOR AN ENTIRE COMPANY. He told me that my issue would be resolved within 24-48 hours. He treated the entire situation with complete apathy and acted as if breaching their end of the contract was typical for Zippy Shell. Finally after hours of back and forth with him, I was told that it would "most likely" be delivered tomorrow but not collected until June 5th. At this point I am already at a loss of $500+ for movers, my items will be sitting on the side of the street for days while I am out of state, and none of their management have contacted me about making this situation right. DON'T WORRY THOUGH- They made sure to charge me half of my quoted rate [$1575] on time though! AND NOW I'M SUPPOSED TO TRUST THESE PEOPLE WITH ALL OF MY POSSESSIONS!? Unbelievable.

My things are currently being held hostage by Zippy Shell in Des Moines. They have been at their warehouse since Aug 19. They have 8 to 12 business days to get your things to you and mine are still in Des Moines instead of on the way to Virginia. My 30 days " free" storage are ticking away too while in this forced limbo state. They do not know when my things will be shipped to me. My husband is a veteran and we both serve our country as federal employees. It is a shame our things are being held hostage.

This is an amazing service. Zippy Shell makes so much sense when you're moving. They had a Shell out to my house right when I needed it in order to de-clutter for listing our home. Then the afternoon we closed on the new house it showed up again. It's affordable, convenient, and went exactly as advertised. I'm confused why anyone would do "self-storage" when this affordable alternative that takes much less effort is out there. Hat's off to Clint & Todd and the whole team at Zippy Shell.

What a great company! Very accomodating and Clint and his drivers, went above and beyond, even when they had to deal with every horrible thing Mother Nature could throw at us! If ever in need, I wouldn't go to anyone else. Thank you!!!!!😉

A great option for moving or if you need to store some stuff for the winter so you can fit your car in the garage. They'll drop off a shell let you fill it and they'll bring it back to their climate control facility until you want it back! Great customer service!
