Their service representative never calls you back. Even if you get they won't. I relied on them to call me but they never did to confirm the appointment.
Even my car service representative assured me that they'll call back during service. Nor did they call me and even didn't pick up my call.
Hopefully they will improve.
They never called me back. Even I tried for 2 days after you replied here and your staff never picks up the call. ONLY IN CASE IF WE WANT TO BUY THE NEW CAR YOUR STAFF SPAMS LIKE CRAZY. After waiting for 15 - 20 minutes. Somebody dropped my call. I hope you'll improve on services.

I am very impressed by the service I received at Willis Volvo! I brought my '93 940 Turbo as my A/C compressor started making a terrible noise as my dad and I drove across country from Colorado to D.C. Des Moines being our overnight stop, we brought my 940 by first thing in the morning (without an appointment) and Arvin and Jimmy were able to get my car in almost immediately. Arvin, our service advisor, was very attentive to our urgent nature and had us back on the road within a couple hours. Jimmy, the master tech working on my car, personally met me in the lobby to speak with me about my car and the issue he found. He was exceedingly kind and his knowledge of older Volvos was nothing short of impressive. He was able to diagnose my issue very quickly. I could not have had a better experience and recommend this dealership to everyone.

So horribly disappointed with the communication provided by Willis Volvo. We had our 2016 XC90 in because there seemed to be excessive rattling noise from the engine. First visit was on May 21st and it was finally resolved July 29th - 10 weeks. The first visit, Willis had our car for a week. Ended up getting a tie-rod end replaced and an alignment and a diagnosis that would require a part that was unavailable locally. They ordered it from Sweden - should take four weeks.
There are certain difficulties when buying an non-Japanese car that you expect - difficulty in finding repair shops that will service your vehicle, unavailability of parts, lack of knowledge, etc. So, whenever getting repairs on it, you allow for a little more time. However what you do not expect is a total communication blackout from the service center. I sent countless texts, left multiple voice mails, and got zero response. I even sent one text back asking "is this thing was working?"... to which I got a reply that said "yes"... nothing more.
Suffice it to say, I left a couple of messages asking if the part had arrived yet and finally got a call saying that it was in and to bring in the car on the July16th (six weeks later)which we did. We picked up the car on July 29th. Again, to be transparent, we were camping and wouldn't have picked up the car until we returned on the 25th anyway - however we were available for calls or anything and heard nothing at all. When we returned on the 25th, I texted and left messages only to get a call on the 26th to say it wouldn't be done until the 29th. Horrible communication!
Once we got our vehicle back I sent a detailed note to Willis explaining that given their lack of communication, I would find it very difficult to use their service department again - even though we have two Infinitis and one Volvo. We'll find other resources.
Lastly, after the first visit, the car was washed and vacuumed and relieved of a couple of leadership coins that my son had in the cup holders that his coach had given him. When asked about them, the service representative said he saw them when the car came in and did what he could to find what happened... even checked the vacuums - but couldn't recover them... Lesson learned - make sure that if you don't want to lose it, don't leave it in the vehicle.
I received a call from the General Manager apologizing about the poor communication and the ridiculously long service time. Based on other customer surveys, he was aware that they had serious issues when it came to transparency and communication from the service department. He said that it was a priority to fix and for their sake, I hope it is... because as it stands, that model is unsustainable and for Willis's sake, is going to cost them their name.

After taking our Volvo XC70 to an Independent reliable service shop, which was unable to diagnose the electronic issue, I took the car to Willis. They were able to resolve the issue plus taking care of a couple of other issues. We worked with Brian and he was professional and fair. I will skip the Independent service groups in the future and go straight to Willis.
