When is an urgent care facility not actually an urgent care facility- that would be this joke of an office. 20 foot sign says urgent care, but you carry an injured person in and are told they requiring an appointment! This makes you just another doctors office. STOP THE BS and wasting people's time when they are in pain & need care. If anyone questions why hospital emergency rooms are used for non life threatening care- this office is one one of the reasons. Lying to the public and actually using a 20 foot neon sign to promote the lie, is rediculous and reprehensable. I will make sure everyone I know to take their business elsewhere. Clearly this is not a medical care provider that cares about people.

Beware you may get further bills a month or two later as I did for test they took. They told me they had no control over it because it was done by a Chicago company that I found out later UnityPoint owns…..Beware double because I also had to go to a doctor because they’re diagnosis was incorrect

I went to Urgent Care and did a vaginal swab and nothing was found. When I went to see my Dr. about my coughing, I mentioned I was still having problems in my lower region. His comment to me was have you seen a GYN and I said I had an appointment the next day. He said I just had a 70 year old vagina!! I went to the GYN and I ended up having a bacterial infection and had to be treated with antibiotics. Very hurtful and rude and could be considered a sexual harassment comment. Don’t know that I will be back. I’ve been going here for years.

Sunday, September 10, 2023 9:15 AMDear Unity Point Clinic Family Medicine at 6400 Hickman and 2103 Ingersoll Avenue in Des Moines, Iowa-To all Nurse Practitioner's who think they are an M.D. You are WAY out of line, and I will see to it that you get your very own discipline and if you're really bad performing certain things with a surgical knife on an ignorant public that thinks you are a Doctor. Well I will see to it that you get your just reward. Also, there is a difference between, not wanting to prescribe and that you have NO AUTHORITY to prescribe certain medications, and keeping that a secret from the public. Will the whole network fail and NOT be able to prescribe, maybe not even that M.D. on residency? Even the Sr. Clinic Administrator named Shelli who refuses to give her last name for a couple different reasons she said, is a liar! The google reviews show a pattern of PROOF and that is WHY she lied while giving her address, she didn't want me to see the negative reviews. Then to pander a WHISTLEBLOWER over to your NON-PROFIT for data collection for federal and state funding? Let's just say I am experienced in that area too, and just maybe the Internal Revenue Service (I.R.S.) will be paying you a visit. You will be EXPOSED for this that and the other. You made a very big mistake with me. Have a nice day.Love, WHISTLEBLOWER

Des Moines is privileged to have such genuine care & expertice at Unity Point Clinic. I have been a patient of Janae Brown for several years, she is the best! She's attentive, sensitive, informative, knowledgeable, & actually interested in you & your personal medical care. From experience, there's no place better.

Staff and drs are super fast at getting you in and out but are bad at sending prescriptions to the correct pharmacy- they sent my meds to two different pharmacies that were the wrong one even though I called to get it corrected

I was sick on New Years weekend and couldn’t find an urgent care open that would take a patient. The on-line registration was great for an appointment on Ingersoll. I was very impressed with how clean and efficient it was. The Dr. was excellent and had very professional and caring attitude and listened. Staff excelled also.

First time at this facility. The laboratory worker, Cassie C was amazing. She was friendly, courteous, and overall outstanding worker. She is the reason this facility received an overall 5 star rating. The facility itself was dated. Could use new deco. However, overall, it's a good facility at a convenient location. Again. A bigTHANK YOU to Cassie C in the Lab department.

These folks are excellent. Everyone from the receptionist to the nurses to the physicians were very attentive and patient, and kind, even amid very busy conditions around a holiday. The wait was long (due to a surge in Covid cases) but worth it. They also took time to ask me if I had any questions throughout my visit. Treat them with respect and they will return it 10-fold.

Hello, I can't figure why anyone is crying on here about the service. These women work like dogs to accommodate all kinds of patients with all kiknds of issues. They are pro-people, and they help, way, way more than anywhere else I have gone. Fewer, and fewer advocates for folks exists, and the customer service is way above and beyond anywhere else. People who are whining about such a thing need to get over themselves.

My doctor is Janae Brown. Not since I was a kid do I actually have a consistent doctor. I could not have asked for a better doctor now. Janae Brown is very open and empathetic, understanding and non judgmental. I know, all doctors should be this way, but this place is friendly and inviting. From the nurses to those who check me in and out...they are all great people.

Wasn't horrible. However the nurses were extremely un patient. Every time I opened my mouth to speak or ask a question, it was getting shut down or a quick fast answer followed by shutting the door right after. I understand yall see lots of people. However if I was given a minute to talk about my brothers condition you would have known not to shoot that medicine hes allergic to into him now would you? Two and a half hour wait still counting. Doctor was very kind and front desk ladies.

I have been here a couple times for sinus infections/ear infection. I was in and out of the office within 30-40 minutes both times and hardly any wait time. They are very professional, efficient, and friendly. I will definitely continue to come here if I have an urgent care need!
