Bought a Nissan frontier from them didn’t tell us about the shocks and struts being bad on it but easy do yourself overal great process. I would recommend to take the car to a mechanic and look it over before you buy

This was the only place we could find a nice minivan for a reasonable price. Test drove a couple, even having a shop check it out before purchasing. We must of had it for an hour and a half, trying to be careful on the purchase. Couldn't be more grateful, working with Tom Phan. He was bending over backwards for us making sure not only were we comfortable with price, but comfortable with everything.
Looking at some of the 1-2 star reviews, I really feel they were at a different location or different dealership altogether. We were concerned seeing them before going, but had a completely different experience. I can't speak of everyone there but Tom Phan is who I would recommend 100%. Will definitely be going back for our next vehicle. A big thank you to Tom's auto sales on E. University

I live in New Mexico, a thousands miles from Des Moines. I found the truck I had been looking for online at Tom’s Auto Sales. Francisco works at Tom’s (North) and he is the most honest and helpful sales person I have ever met. He took dozens of specific pictures and videos of the truck that I requested. He answered every question I had and I felt confident enough to purchase the truck without driving it. I flew to Des Moines and Francisco even picked me up at the airport. I drove my new truck home last week across five states and I couldn’t be happier with my purchase. Thanks Francisco and Tom’s Auto Sales North!!!!

DONT BUY A VEHICLE FROM TOMS. THEY SCREW ME OVER. IVE HAD TO PUT $7000 IN REPAIRS IN THIS DAM VEHICLE SND IM FACING ANOTHER $7000 MORE IN REPAIRS. ITS A 2005 Buick Terraza CXL. I HAVE THE REPAIR RECIEPTS TO PROVE IT!!!

Purchased a 2011 Buick Enclave from Tom's Auto Sales about 2 years ago. It looked so rich inside, but I have had nothing but trouble with this vehicle. A/C blower had to be replaced first summer. Now the front A/C doesn't work. The radio is very poor. The Hatch back lid opens at will. Vehicle has a phantom lock. Had to get lock smith There is a chugalug when driving any speed. The key won't come out and had to manually flick a switch in the column to get it out. Now, it chugalugged and I was able to get halfway in the garage when it died. I know this is a used vehicle but nothing was divulged as an issue. I was promised covers for the metal bases of the seats and that didn't happen. Initially I didn't even realize there were some missing. All I wanted was a reliable vehicle. I am not a complainer but my patience is gone.

I recently sold a vehicle at Tom's. The location was clean, the individuals who work there are friendly and very helpful. It took all of 10 minutes to get an offer on my car that was fair, efficiency was wonderful. Their corporate office also was able to help with documentation that I needed a few months later in a very timely manner. Can't recommend them enough!

Went to Merle Hay location, looking for a first car for my daughter. At first a nice gentleman talked to us and told us the prices are pretty set. I said well I am here to make a deal but we don’t have to stay and look. The sales person told us they are set prices and we could leave. Apparently that’s how you do business?!
