We definitely found our Des Moines Metro area bookstore, as Storyhouse checks all the boxes with great vibes, a superb selection, and Abbey (the owner) is also warm and helpful. Located adjacent to RayGun, it's can't miss in the East Village.

I really enjoyed this book store, they have a great selection of books that are so inclusive of everyone. I got great recommendations from the person working today, I felt so welcomed, I wish this book store and the person working it were in the town I lived

Support small bookstores! This one in particular is so cute, with lots of charming shelving, signage, cozy places to sit, and a small children’s area. It’s quiet, but with good music for ambience, and has a great selection of new books, and a small selection of used as well. ???
