Room was clean but door knob was missing. The back entrance where the elevator is located smell like piss. Could be due to pets friendly.

The night manager on duty was more than friendly and able to answer any questions I had. She is a keeper. Robin was her name.

Probably my favorite hotel!! The king room bedroom suite was amazing. SO SPACIOUS! Honestly I couldn’t believe how much space we had. A FULL kitchen, living room, and a massive bedroom. I felt like I was at home

We had a great overnight stay here as we headed back to NC from a 30 day cross country road trip. It was wonderful to spread out utilizing the living room, kitchen, bedroom areas. The room was very clean and the bed was so comfortable! Husband wants to order the pillows!! We had a great early evening walking around, taking pictures of the beautiful capitol building and then dining at the famous Iowa Tap Room. Wish we had 2 nights! The desk clerks were so kind and helpful! So glad we chose this location!

Exceptional customer service, fabulous breakfast, lots to choose from, great place so far, feels like home, they have free laundry use - that makes me so not taking dirty clothes home HAPPY.
Ww have a bad smell in our room, Bad smell found its the air conditioner so we just turned it off for now- that works
Rooms: Spacious, clean, just the smell, lots of lighting, feels like home
Safety: We felt very safe checking late at night, very quiet area. We will walk more this weekend, so I will update

My family loves stopping here on our way between Texas and Wisconsin. It’s in a safe area downtown with a good breakfast spread as well.

It was a pleasant stay. The service was nice. I stayed there for a couple weeks. The only issue I have experienced is the wifi connection. It was frequently disconnecting & was completely outage for a couple days. However they fixed it at the end of my stay. The Reception staff were polite and good. :)

Rooms: The room we stayed in had a nice kitchenette complete with dishes and even a dishwasher. usual couch and standard hotel comfort bed.
Walkability: Everything about 1/2 mile walk have to pay for parking at the hotel and would have to pay other places so, walking is best option. streets are clean and well lit

Great stay with great service. Have to plan for a bus as they will tell you to call Des Moines parking services to get a permit which might be to late if it's not prearranged. I was able to park around the hotel in a small size coach taking one or two spaces. It is $5/4hrs 9am-9pm. Parking overnight and weekends is free. The people we're good to work with and the room was very comfortable as I had to spend a lot of time in it waiting for my group to get picked up.
