Unfortunately this place has gone downhill, all the staff that has been there for the last several years is gone now, 2 visits ago had the worst haircut I've ever experienced, tried to visit again today, estimated wait of 25 minutes on the app for a specific stylist (specifically not the one who butchered my hair), arrived 15-20 minutes later to a estimated 30 minute wait time and had to leave after 35 minutes due to prior engagements.

This was by far the best sports clips location in the Des Moines, and surrounding areas! Ive been to others in West Des Moines, and this was the first visit to the fleur location in Wakonda shopping center. Right away I knew there was a difference when my stylist started with my hair. She took her time with me and didnt rush anything. This stylists name was Becky. She was very picky, making sure that all of my hair was even after the cut was finished. Also, she made sure that I was satisfied with the cut during and after the process. This was probably the best haircut in my recent memory, and it didnt hurt that she had a wonderful personality! I am definitely returning to this fleur location in the future, and will ask for Becky again. Great job Sports clips, and Becky!! Thank you!

Alyx is a great stylist! They have been cutting my hair for years. It's exactly the way I want it every time. I've gone to a few others over the years, and there's always something that's not quite right. So, I always end up making time and going out of my way to get a cut from Alyx!

I normally don't leave reviews, but this was. very bad. Walked in yesterday (Friday, February 16th, 2024) and was greeted by a nice young African American lady with bright orange braids. She asked me if I signed in on line, to which I responded no, and she said I could sign in on the little tablet computer at the front desk, and that one of her coworkers should be on the way to the front shortly to take me back for a cut. At this time there was no one else in the store waiting. She had a customer already and was cutting his hair. Half Way through me signing in, still no one had come up to the front to greet me. She looked around just as confused as I was and apologized for the delay, and I thanked her for her help and left. I had never been to a SportsClips before and heard very good things. This was really disappointing. Where were the other cutters? Why was she left to fend for herself? I I most likely will not be back to this SportsClips because of that.

Kat gave me the best haircut a few weeks ago! She is hands down the best beautician in town and our conversations during my sessions are always fun . She givesctge best MVPs too - must get an mvp for sure ! 5 stars for Kat and the entire Wakonds staff / location !

Horrible, I went and signed in, and watched 4 other people come and sign in after me and got their hair cut before me. I left when they called the 4th one up after I had already been there waiting for an hour

I came here in February right before a romantic get away with my partner out of state so I can look nice for pictures. I went to the stylist (Kat) that I’ve been going to for years and when I got home, I realized I had gotten the worst haircut Ive ever received. I was seriously so embarrassed to even be out in public it was so bad. It was choppy and not lined up AT ALL, i had to wear a hat for the duration of the month. The company sent a survey as they always do after a service and I left a bad review because it wasn’t a good haircut point blank. I received a free haircut from Kat to correct the wrong she had done. She was very silent and unsettling the whole time. Almost like she was mad, or had resentment towards me just for leaving my honest review on a haircut that left me very disappointed And not recognizing myself. I have attempted to go back and try to get a new perspective on her since I have always loved her haircuts, thought we had a good connection and It could have just been one bad day that time. but now when I try to schedule my cut, she always switches stylists on me well into my wait time. This has all really ruined my views on this company.Service: Haircut

Friendly employees. Walked in and got sat almost immediately. Hair stylest made sure I got the cut I wanted. She did amazing.
